Is the Blackburn game gonna be rearranged?
« on: March 25, 2002, 11:17:58 pm »
now that we have the game against Leverkusen on the Tuesday?  Got come birthday celebrations to plan and need to know if the game is going ahead   ;D

Some are saying it'll get moved to the Saturday morning, others that it'll get put back to the last week of the season...

Anyone?

If that is the case it would be excellent because between Apr 27 and May 11 there could be at most 1 game (the CL semi-final 2nd leg on 30-Apr / 1-May ;D) so that means the lads should have enough rest.

Also by then Blackburn's fate should be sealed (one way or the other) so they probably will not put up such a fight.

Wouldn't it be ironic if we clinched the title against Blackburn?

;D ;D ;D

Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple - Bill Shankly.

Blackburn game rearranged

Liverpool's home game with Blackburn Rovers, scheduled for Sunday 7 April, has been rearranged for Sunday 5 May with a 3pm kick-off.

The change is due to Liverpool's involvement in the Champions League quarter-final second leg two days later.

Good of them to get it re-arranged for a weekend rather than a mid-week.  should cut down on a fiasco with teh Ticket Office with regards to returns  ::)

So that'll be our second last game then.  It's pushing it a bit, but wouldn't it be kind of poetic if the resurrection of Liverpool Football Club under Gerard Houllier brought about the championship and relegated Graeme Souness on the same day.
Just a thought.....
