That looks cool as shit. Rather than do some bike challenge I use mine to watch TV on the ipad. You need an action movie or long box set type show to watch for when you exercise.

Its pretty decent for what it cost, main thing is I get off my fat arse and get a sweat on before sitting all day.

I heard of a book from WW2 naval officer who just passed away. Googling the book showed that it was hard to get hold of but was free on Kindle. Just makes sense to have one. I like the simple ones that are not back light and really light to hold.

I turned down a Kindle as a Christmas present as I love physical books, then inherited one when my father in law died and loved it, I download loads before we go on holiday and read by the pool or when I wake up before everyone else. Its the back lit one, which means I can read in bed while she is asleep. I managed to leave the Kindle in a hotel on Tenerife in 2019, they did have it but with Covid and shit I wasn't able to get it back, I'll see when we go in 2022. Anyway, I got a next gen to replace that.

A good book to get if you like Vietnam stuff is Chickenhawk by Robert Mason. Its his story of how he learned to fly choppers and then served in Nam flying Hueys.

Strangely that was a book I started to read at a guest house on the night before I left England to live in the States in 96. Still remember his friends nick name AndyWxHd or Andy Weatherhead.

Comes across as a really honest account of helicopter actions in Vietnam and the bravery required to bring a helicopter in to land in an enemy held area.

So I've heard as well, just done the initial test run and will be getting it's first outing today possibly - will report back! I was only looking at them last week cos I bought a curry book and need to make the base sauce and the book recommends a pressure cooker for smaller batches - went on google, watched about 300 YouTube videos and ended up with this. It seems it does absolutely all kinds of things, our cooker is dual fuel but if it means I can cook something using less resources and still get the same result then worth it's weight in gold.

Easy Christmas present cos they'll deffo be on a Black Friday deal ;D

Yeah - this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Instant-Pot-Electric-Pressure-Sterilizer/dp/B083KM6BZS/

There's currently a Costco deal for the duo gourmet which I was looking at getting then I saw this one which has dickhead proof handles on the inner pot and a pressurised bake setting that I don't really know what it means, but cool, right?

But yes do let us know how it is.

Made Carnitas in it, made them before in the oven so thought it was a decent test, was dubious about the 35 mins time on the recipe but the meat just all fell apart on a slight push and had loads of flavour from the spices. Very impressed with it.

Thats nice. :)
The dish looks so tasty. I will try it in my instant pot. ;)

I have ordered the Duo without the air fryer. I didn't want to go for the fancy one because I realized that for what we cook at home, the duo serves its purpose. Rice or Roti with a combination of different lentils and boiled veggies 4-5 times a week is what one of my friend eats. He has been doing it for about 2 years now and is looking so healthy and lost most of the additional fat - without exercising - even during lockdowns.

The last time I was there in July, we made the chicken veggy stew with his instant pot. With hand ground spices, it cured me of fever and cold. If you do try it, let me know. :)

Yeah piece of piss, I've built both Malm and Pax stuff and they're dead easy to put together and everything fits as it should.

I did wreck a Pax wardrobe though, when I was building three of them for our room, as you build the shell then have to stand it up, which isn't very solid without the internals and I tried to do it on my own and as it was almost 9ft tall I shouldn't have and it collapsed. Ikea sent a whole wardrobe out as a replacement for free.

Moral, get someone to help you stand it up.

What a novice.  :P I did this alone without any issues in the Summer. Needed a little bit of help attaching the sliding doors mind you.

Now, putting together a MALM bed and bed base was an awful hassle. Spent at least a day on that bed.  :odd

Was a few years ago now - worst thing was it was the last one, I'd fully built the other two :butt  I managed to build the replacement without issue and I've since built another one in the kids room.

Most recent assembly was a wooden bunk bed for the kids, single on top, double on the bottom.
