I feel like watching LOTR Return of The King.
Would sacrifice Fordy in a sacred Mayan ritual to have him (Jurgen Klopp) as the next Liverpool manager

Still ever so surreal.  Lets smash the Mancs tomorrow.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Mixed feelings.

One thing is for sure, and I really hope he gives the biggest kick up the arse to the likes of Johnson and Torres. And if they dont perform for him, I want to see them dropped. I believe Kenny has the guts to do this, and its a good thing.
Kenny takes over the same bunch of players who failed both Rafa and Roy... And for me personally the big issue here is the reaction of the players and how they will perform on the pitch. I currently see most of our players are weak and the hearts not in it anymore, and Kenny has the same problems as his two predesesors had.
I would like to see him given time to bring his own players in and form a playing style to what Kenny believes in... And to get the time. He will no doubt get the support and time from the fans.
What I would also like to see, and that is from our own support is a little more respect for our past Manager...instead of the vilse little silly quotes we see on this Forum. We are better than this. Roy was done for from day one, and I dont think he deserves the abuse he is getting.

We won't see this anymore as Kenny won't say such stupid, disrespectful things.

I'm over the moon, hopefully his tenure as manager will end up being a lot longer than they're saying - and any 'supporter' who criticises the King after any future defeat should remember the very poor hand he was left with by previous managers and G&H.

Long may the King reign over us again.

Put it this way, Kenny is probably more outspoken than our previous Managers... He will say what he wants when the time comes. One thing which is for certain, he will not provoke anyone or say the 'wrong' things.

Very happy.

I wish him every success and the possibility making it permanent. Failing that, for Rafa to return in the summer fully recharged.

That would really prove to me that Henry has grasped the situation - after all didn't Rafa instigate bringing back Kenny few years ago - its about building a sustainable dynasty and staying on this perch

I don’t think he watches many Liverpool games, the same way I don’t watch many Milan games. (Rafa)

All along the fields, ..., where once we watched him play,..., and could he play.

If this doesn't wake those lazy-arsed over-paid bunch of effin wankers who are supposedly representing Liverpool, I think they need to be whipped.
First order of business for Kenny, tell the players, you need to run after the round-thingy, I know it may seem a bit rude, but they need to be reminded things back from the basics.
I want Babel to be docked pay by 5% every time he loses possession.

Sorry, just all the emotion bottled in and needed to vent out.
And, word of advice for all those pissing their pants thinking, this shouldn't end like Keegan with Newcastle, there is a #### load of difference between Kevin Keegan and the King.
Hats off to Bill on his throne,
He set the club's standards in stone.

No excuses now people, no matter what happens i'll not be entertaining any short term criticism
, he's here first and foremost as someone who loves this club, he's a legend and whatever the rest of the season holds he'll have my backing. As a side note, we wanted this and we have to thank john and co for making it happen while respecting there choice of long term manager.

Roy was done for from day one, and I dont think he deserves the abuse he is getting.

No you're wrong there, obviously there was a lot of anger over Rafa's departure and there were mixed feelings about Roy
coming in BUT...

if he had treated the fans with the respect we deserve from the off,
if he had supported the players and respected the Liverpool way and tradition that prior to his first game
he spoke in admiration of,
if he had adopted a more positive approach tactically,
if he had spent wisely and not brought in messrs Konchesky and Poulsen and Brad Jones and if he had
not allowed Insua and Aquilani to go on loan at a time when our squad was depleted,
if he hadn't blamed everything under the sun for his failures and like Carlo Ancelotti recently did, admitted
that he himself was at fault and needed to improve,

then he may have avoided the sarcastic chants of 'Hodgson for England' and the unfortunate booing at Anfield.

His time was up long ago, I'm just glad NESV have finally taken action and we at last have someone we can
throw our full support behind, a man who is truly, one of us.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Rush?

John Barnes on the touchline in a shellsuit, rapping instructions to the team wearing a pair of shades.

I'm delighted with this, it's not like he can be any worse than Roy. And fuck, it's Kenny!

After 6 months of apathy and barely caring when we lose, because everyone expects it anyway - it'll be nice to give a fuck again.

I'm totally made up about this. I shared some of the reservations about Kenny taking over - tainting his legend etc - but now it has happened I don't feel any of that. I feel elated that the hands of the club are now back in hands that are worthy of it.

Apart from my wife and son, Kenny is probably the person who has brought the most joy into my life. I hope he's stays our manager for a long, long time and sees as much success as he did first time around.

I'm fucking ecstatic! I can't stop smiling - partly because Roy has gone but also because we now have a manager that the team will respect. Do you honestly think any of the players would dare go behind his back in the same way certain players were rumoured to have done so against Rafa? Kenny has such respect from every single Reds fan on the planet; there's no way anyone will take him on. Player power will go right out the window now.

Over the moon, a little worried at the same time in case he doesn't do any better than Roy.

But the kicker is Kenny wants whats best for us and gets us fans and he's not a self serving, delusional parasite viewing the job as a trophy at the end of his career

That is a massive massive difference. In fact its not a kicker, its a Full House v Ace High.

I feel relieved but apprehensive for Kenny himself.

If the players cant raise themselves for Kenny then they arnt worth spit in my opinion.

Lets get behind the club now, stop the infighting, stop the hate and get on with whats important, on pitch matters.

Half of me delighted, half of me concerned.

Don't want anything to tarnish Liverpool's greatest legend.

Desperately hope that people understand fully that miracles happen but not often. Its possible we'll struggle to the end of season and I don't want anyone getting on Kenny's back if that happens.

10 years ago that was unthinkable but some of our fans nowadays . . .

That said tomorrow will be an emotional day

Says it all for me.  Spot on.
