Better but we still haven't forced a decent save from Jaaskelainen. Maxi hit bar with a clever header and Lucas missed an absolute sitter after good work from Torres and Kuyt. Some nice passing, less hoofing, but still not really creating chances.

Conceded from poor defending from a free kick but credit Bolton it was a brilliant ball in.

No reaction. Just stunned silence. Almost an expectation of what would happen.

I want him to leave but that first half was shite from a lot of our players.

Aurelio is a lot better than Konchesky but has been rusty at best today.

Torres could of walked on another day and as much as the tactics don't suit him he looks like he is struggling big time.

The marking for that goal was shite.

You can't blame Roy for Lucas not being able to score form 3 yards out (im a big Lucas fan but that was shit).

Wonder what he's saying in the changing room.

"You lot are shit, I'm one of the greatest managers in the world, and you can't beat Bolton. Those fans don't help either, with their singing and chanting. I need a lie down. Go out and try not to concede another one. 1-0 is a respectable result against one of the best teams in Europe. Sammy, where's my sweets?"

gutted we are behind, honestly think we are the better team first half.

expected the players to be up for this one after the last game, had even more hope when i seen the team.

Hope to hell we turn this around second half cause we need 3 points badly at this moment in time

I think it's pretty much certain now that, looking at all noises coming from the club, Roy is gone. What we now have to worry about is a relegation fight which i really think we are on the brink of if we don't turn this game around. Let's get behind the team!!

Why can't we win this game & sack him ?

Don't see why we have to lose this to make it a certainty. He's sure to go whatever happens.

Remember that time we were feared throughout Europe?,
only 2 years ago, how we have went from Benitez and trouncing Madrid and the scum in 4 days,
to potential back to back home losses to Wolves and Bolton.

Thought we were playing half decent then but surely this finally has to be the end for him. It's telling that even the crowd don't seem that bothered that we're losing again. In days gone by they'd instantly try to lift the players after a goal but they couldn't be bothered . It's like everyone is just waiting for the axe to fall.

Agreed, whether Zonal or Man-to-Man, but it was one of those deliveries that leaves the striker two yards out and reina no chance IF the ball is not cleared first. Poor defending but it happens. More culpable was Aurelio for conceding the free kick with a stupid lunge.

I think we're playing pretty well actually.  Seems to be some hunger today.  Agger could possibly single handedly be the difference with his constant carrying the ball up the field and looking to lead the attackers with clever passes.  Agger himself nearly got to the Bolton box once or twice.  Anyway, good passing, good movement, a few decent chances at goal including a lucas sitter which he missed.  Should be at least 1-1 but for the first time ever I'm not too fussed either way... had zero reaction once Bolton scored.. almost expected it really
