My son-in-law and grandson have tickets for the City game - they are driving up from Sussex - could anyone advise on where to park?

I'd have a look on Just Park, there's plenty of addresses close to the ground that charge a reasonable fee. I've used Sainsbury's on Great Homer Street which is a 20 minute walk to the ground but it's pretty cheap. Although it's a 20 minute walk (at most), after the game you're away from the ground and avoid trying to get out of a pay on the day car park, and avoid the road closures.
He wasn't perfect, he made mistakes. But he was genuine. He had the best interests of the club at heart, and gave us a plethora of successful teams that we should have been thankful for.

I've been parking around Salop Street for years with no problem, but I got back there last night and every single car had been issued a parking ticket. Guess I'll have to find somewhere else from now on 😔

If you’re up for a 20 minute walk try Judges Drive beside Newsham Park

Cherry Lane off Utting Ave is ok too

I always park here also. Never had any problem, maybe give it a wide berth for a while.

Do you have to book to park on Stanley Park or can you just turn up on the day and pay? My mum comes to the European Games and we normally park near the Asda but the walk is becoming too much for her.

Depends what you class as walking distance, but I usually park around Brewster Street, near Kirkdale station, and it's about a 25/30 minute walk from there.
This was a great shout for the Brighton game. Parked outside the Liverpool Car Centre and had minimal traffic for the drive home. I did spot some 'Free' parking areas on Carisbrooke Road within the residential zone during the walk to Brewster Street.

We’ve got an Airbnb for the last game of the season on Rockfield Road.

Any idea what time on the Sunday it will get closed by the police ?

We have a permit to park outside

Hello folks

My JustPark for TS gig @ Anfield this weekend has just been cancelled, the only other options on the app are all crazy money (£150+)

Where would you advise? I usually park ASDA Breck Road, but don't know if there is a barrier or ANPR etc as I know I'll go over their free parking limit

If you don't mind a 20min walk then the roads around Walton Asda are not residents only.
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

it's a bit late, but the match day parking restriction only applies Aug 1 - May 31 iirc (says on the signs!), so you can park in any of the streets covered by it without fear.

Hmmm, I'll have to double check that next time.
was up there last week (daughter getting Merch) found a bay with no signage (probably a free bay anyway)

quite a few were getting tickets (granted parked on double yellows) on Anfield Road.
a couple of angry local residents to with parking tickets.

Most signs have now changed 1 aug - 30 June so just July where you can  ‘freely park’ . Wonder if due to concerts in June nowadays

I'll be coming down from Scotland for the Brentford game. Last time I drove down I parked at a bingo hall off County Road. Is this still an option?
I prefer taking train down but no way to get back home on train due to KO time.

Yes, Club 3000 Bingo on Carisbrooke Road. £10 or it was last season. If you walk fairly quickly, you get a head start on some of the traffic heading back to the M6 North.

Yes the Football Match Residents Parking Zones are 1 August to 30 June now. The original 2009 order referred to 1 August to 31 May, but this was changed by the City Council in November 2020 to apply 1 August to 30 June.

There are a handful of free parking spots on the road right opposite as well aren't there? Might be worth keeping your eye out if there early.

Just had a look on Google maps and can see the free parking. Nice option if available.

When coming off the M58 are you better to come down County Road or continue straight on Dunnings Bridge Road and then eventually cut a left down A5038?

If you are heading to the Bingo place/area
personally I'd stay on Dunnings Bridge Road until Netherton Way.
then follow the road all the way just past the Mons (boarded up now)
the next set of lights (Bedford Road) go straight down there along Carisbrooke Road.

you might even spot some free parking here
until you come to the junction with the Carisbrooke Pub, then just follow the traffic route/signs around the block to the Bingo place.

or you could follow the East Lanc's all the way towards Everton's ground then just turn down Spellow Lane towards the bingo

**there's several car parks around Goodison as well probably £15/20 though
