Comolli and Janu...... (that NESV dude) in the stands look less then impressed. And who can blame them. The team is frankly shocking out there. I know I probably sound like a pessemistic motherfucker, I'm usually a lot happier with support from others. But my Fowler this is bad

Roy needs to make a tactical on-pitch change ASAP!

Does he know how? :no

That's what so amazing about the man. Just when you start to believe in him, give him some credit show a little faith, he might actually do some good. We get a game like this. Kuyt has now played 65 minutes, which is 65 minutes more then he looks fit for.

There is no sense of direction, there is not a shred of tactics noticeable and nothing looks to change.

Why oh why are we insisting on long balls and hoofing? We are impotent in the air, we have so much more success when we play it on the floor. So frustrating to watch.

Espescially now, we need to play it on the ground. Torres is not, has never been and never will be a target man. So that leaves approaching coma-status Kuyt and.........................no one.

Nothing to report on our front. And to be completely honest it looks just a matter of time before one of two things happens. We offically park the bus or Wigan scores.

I'm sorry to say this, but we couldn't beat our own reserves

68:00 Victor Moses on for Jordi Gomez. A midfielder for striker sub for Wigan says it all about this game

Has Torres even touched the ball in the last 10 minutes?

Yes, he tackled in the 62nd.

Since Torres' goal this has been one of the most frustrating performances I have seen in ages. Really Roy is clueless.

This is Blackpool-esque.

Think the lil'scouse spitfire Spearing would be a good sub about now for Kuyt .... then Ngog for Maxi :wave

Any change is good change at this point.

And on another note. He gets away with it after a sensational assist, but if he hadn't Gerrard's passing would go down as arguably the worst in sporting history.

Holy fuck on a stick. Poulsen setting to come on :puke2

*edit: Was miles offside

72:30 - Poulsen on for Kuyt :butt

73:00 Stam has all but sexually assaulted Konchesky. The amount of crosses from (their) right is alarming.

POULSEN is coming on

OH BABY

Where the fuck is RYAN BABEL? :no :no :no :no :no

Nevermind Babel, he has an actual, fast winger on the bench in Eccleston but brings on Poulsen and changes our midfiled for the 3rd or 4th time in this game alone!

I thankfully lost my feed just after the second half started, so I'm fully relying on you.

Think you've got the best job mate, as poor fucking Barney's pulling his hair out  ;D

I'm not exactly a massage therapist for super models, but at least I'm not in Barney's shoes ;D

Good move that by Martinez, that lad moses could do some damage

Depressing as shit though in a Liverpool - Wigan match that the Wigan manager is making tactical alterations and bringing on attacking players as he's unhappy with his team.

I can't even keep up with the amount of chances Wigan are creating :butt

Not missing much then? I'm watching the manchester derby which has been shite.

Torres 90th min winner

Think photgraph of paint drying, showed in slow motion.

Poulsen?! :butt

It's a good thing I know we'll win this with yet another moment of Torres brilliance or I'd be really angry right about now! :P

I know, that Torres goal is the only thing saving Roy from this being worse then Blackpool.

79:00 Gerrard is set free by Maxi, but his shot hits the crossbar and bounces free. Selfish (granted with hindsight) could easily have passed to Torres for an open goal :butt

This is pathetic. We're being absolutely dominated by Wigan. Can't keep the ball for more than two passes, Torres hasn't touched it basically all half, Poulsen is on the pitch, and we're really just waiting to lose.

Wonderful stuff Roy, just wonderful.

I'm glad you said it not me. It really defies the laws of nature that Roy can go from outplaying Chelsea to being dominated by Wigan in less then a week.

80:00 Eccleston on for Maxi. Bad idea imo. Should've been Lucas off, Gerrard back and a Ngog-Torres partnership

The crossbar.

It's a formidable opponent.

It's funny that instead of cursing bad luck, my first thought was "that was totally against run of play"

Youth Nathan coming on with less than 10

Should've come on for Kuyt and the change should've been sooner. Let's hope he makes an impact

83:00 A bit of magic from Torres. Has the defense running circles but no one knows what to do. Shelvey and Eccleston are like mindless sheep waiting to be escorted. We needed Ngog on FFS!

85:00 Maybe not the best of shots, but there's a lot of them and Reina the only player keeping form.

*p.s. Has Torres gotten a free kick in this game? I've lost count on how many Walton has let slip

86:00 Di Santo on for Rodallega

Just so that's clear. Wigan have put on 2 attackers, we've not had more then 1 all game.

You are managing Liverpool Roy. Have you forgetten that?

87:30 N'Zogbia who has been running for 87 minutes now outruns Poulsen, despite starting about 5 metres behind him. Great sub Roy!

He is rushed into a shot by Carra, goal kick.

You think this performance is bad

wait for Roy's interview I've heard there classic

In all seriousness I fully expect him to spout the same old shite

I wouldn't be stunned. Let's put it that way.

89:19 Roy Hodgson shows some emotion. Has been like a statue on the sidelines the entire game. My sources in the world of statistics tell me he's furious as the team is only 8 away from reaching 2500 hoofs since he took over

90:00 Finally they realise what they've been doing wrong. Gerrard gets passed the ball. With a magical pass to Torres who missed his shot/pass to Lucas.

Fear it might be too little too late

93:00 Corner comes to Shelvey outside but it's wide of the mark. Can't help but feel Raul might've scored that.

We played better for the first 10 minutes. But make no mistake we were playing second fiddle to Wigan for 80 minutes.

This is down to one man. Roy Hodgson. The team was magically out of form. He should've made changes. Lucas & Kuyt should never have started and it showed after 10 minutes. His subs were too ineffective, too late and too defensive. Complete and utter failure. I'm sorry but there's no way around it.

Eccleston got a chance. I'm glad Shelvey get's a game, he had one piece of magic finding Torres but otherwise had a bad game.

Well done on doing the comms all by yourself, not an easy game to comment on.

Thank you my good man. It certainly was not. It might've been a strange one I admit, but I just couldn't believe the transformation from leauge beaters to relegation fodder in 4 days.

I'm stunned, thought for sure we'd win this ..... onward to Stoke! :wave

Great commentating Sir .... very funny and quite informative!

I was too, after the first 10. But then we hit a bump, Roy fumbled under pressure and we were lucky to escape with a point in all honesty.

That's it from me. Let the misery commence
