I know you're supposed to stick by your team and so forth. Not bash on the players etc. etc. etc.

But it's heartbreaking seeing the only man in the team who hasn't been shy to get stuck in, who's made a run, shot on goal and led by example is the Portuguese Raul Meireles and not Gerrard or Carra. For a team, now, filled with Englishmen it's terrifying seeing the player with the most heart, spirit and fight in him a foreigner with less than 3 months in the team.


Although, it's not all bad. I'm delighted with Meireles in this game.

He's been great this game trying to do everything possible.

Brilliant tactics by Roy, we were on the up and he took Lucas off, and surprise surprise, now the blueshite is looking threatening.

to be fair, Gerrard and Carra have been warned about their tackling during the match by the referee and are being cautious.

The issue isn't about passion and tackling. It's down to the tactics....we're into the last 10 minutes of the match and only now trying to win the match....we were as bad as we have been yet again so..no big surprises.

I just hope Napoli don't hammer us in mid week.
