All those bashing Lim, take it easy eh lads ? I'm no fan and don't know the ins and outs of his bid, but I do remember the same was said about DIC being "DIC'ed out" and other remarks on here while G&H had stayed the course apparently.

Not in any way equating NESV with G&H, but Lim's has pulled out, thanked the club and staff and said the club deserves better than its current state, it's best to leave it there and move on.

Lim is making noises like he was in the running to have his bid accepted.  Even now he thinks he should be considered, does he understand "Binding Agreement".  F**king Twat!! Piss off up the east lancs rd!!  Knobhead

It's irrelevant.  NESV had a legally binding contract with our board made last week.  Why should they go back on that word just because some manc-cafe owner twat decides to chance his arm by throwing in another poxy £20m?

I am not agreeing with it, just find the wording suspicious given the circumstances.

Lim pulls out off the bidding, sort off irrelevant given the circumstances, yet Sky paint it as " A massive twist in the Liverpool ownership saga, big big breaking news ". Fuck off.

I must say, not read the Guardian on a regular basis since at Uni (it was free in the Union)

The way they have kept us up to date has been VERY impressive. Accurate and not scaremongering.

True to a degree.

Whats really interesting about it is that its being written and edited by us to a large degree.

Steve Busfield is now merely an aggregator of content with multiple sources from tweets, actual journalists and user genereated content.

Over the last few days, I, like many others, have been posting him content and corrections. To be fair to him as well hes responded to each one and where a corrections been needed he's implemented it.

Probably more for the media thread though :)

for anyone who knows;

will the ruling today supersede the american injunction?

no

But having read the petition and subsequent order from the US court it seems that the judge was unsurprisingly given a quarter of the story. I can't imagine there would be serious problems with getting the matter before him again before the adjourned date of the 25th and getting it lifted.

why is everyone pissed of with Lim, im guttd he is out, new stadium debt paid off 40m in januay and not american sounds like best offer to me, i dont see how these new yankd differ from hicks and gillete they even have similar business history.

I would rather have NESV own us than some Manc lover, who timed his increased bid yesterday at the same time as the court case more than likely to try and damage our case, it has also been reported that he doesn't care what Premier League club he buys, that if Liverpool doesn't work he will go elsewhere.

This is brilliant drama :-) The Texas district court was 'bound' to hear the complaint and for whatever reason, issued the TRO "solely" on the limited information presented by the plaintiff, hence the amended text - it was only an act to frustrate. I wonder if there's going to be any legal retribution against H&G for perverting legal process here in the UK?
Seriously, how fucking stupid can this get. Chelsea could not be more lucky. Those stupid fuckers. And Gary Neville who's been making sweet love to them all night and GOD DAMMIT I HATE EVERYTHING. FUCK CHELSEA. GOD FUCKING DAMMIT I HATE THEM SO GODDAM MUCH!!!!

Why don't you do a bit of research on NESV before typing absolute tosh? NESV are nothing like Hicks and Gillett.

correct.  Home team still needs to appear/petition the court in Dallas to have TRO lifted regardless of what happens at the High Court in London

So, if Lim has pulled out, then that is not great news for us, since the fact he is offering a similar amount lends more credibility that the NESV offer is reasonable :no

It means there's only one real, credible bid out there. That's good

SSN are a joke, making out Lim's pullout is 'big news'. He was at the back of the queue anyway.

Exactly, I was off work yesterday, so was watching SSN a fair bit. They are clueless, banging the Lim agenda all day despite all of us knowing that NESV has a legally binding agreement with LFC's board.  :no

Clueless, even during yesterday's board meeting, they were still banging on about Lim. Idiots.

David Buik I have to say was superb, put them in their place, saying NESV is a done deal, SSN were aghast, so they ignored it, and proceeded to hype up Lim's offer. Bloody idiots.

That goes for Radio 5 Live and Robert Peston (who I have a alot of time for, but purely on business/economic matters - not sport, he's just as clueless as the rest of them), spreading baseless rumours.

Witness statement from Martin Broughton reveals the board were close to agreeing deal with NESV at last night's meeting. Appears the Texas injunction stalled the process.
