May have been posted before but, Mill Financial can't just buy the shares and takeover LFC without passing fit and proper owners test with Prem League if am not mistaken... correct me if am wrong.

On a side note, how many new members have we had since the news broke last week about the NESV agreement?!?! Don't recognise anyone anymore!!!
On awaiting Everton's arrival for a derby game at Anfield, Shankly gave a box of toilet rolls to the doorman and said: 'Give them these when they arrive – they'll need them!'

What a legend this man is!

That's why Mill didn't get in as a bidder, they would only do it with exclusivity.

I think he means the binding agreement NESV are claiming, given that their takeover has been given the go ahead by the court approved board of directors

This agreement must be binding under the terms of the agreement.

This is different to having the exclusive rights to negiotiate a purhcase

Blame the greed of the Premier League/SKY corporate machine

They sold out the long term stability of football clubs for short term success so they could claim to be 'the best league in the world'

he is 100% right.  RBS and the directors as individuals have every right to fear a contempt citation from the court.

It'll never get there, but they still have to take the threat seriously

12.58pm: Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks remains in control of his share of the club and has not sold out to Mill Financial, Press Association Sport reports.

Reports this morning suggested the hedge fund, a branch of Washington-based Springfield Financial, had acquired the Texan's 50% share having already taken ownership of his fellow co-owner George Gillett's half.
However, a UK-based spokesman for Tom Hicks told Press Association Sport Mill Financial had not acquired Hicks' shares.

1.17pm: A spokesman for Tom Hicks has confirmed to my colleague Andy Hunter that the stake has NOT been sold to Mill Financial.

From here on in its all FSG's doing. Good or bad they will stand or fall by the decisions they have made in the summer of 2012. Lets hope they have gotten it right.

Not if Hicks' barrister isn't there.

That's a home win, almost certain.

No doubt Hicks will then use the fact that he had no representation in Court in his next submission to the Texan court, although by then he may be chasing shadows.

Thanks Marko, after 40 posts saying the same thing I think it still needed reiterating

Well with people writing to Mill to say 'you've bought all the shares' etc. though it was worth pointing out they haven't!

Also, saw nothing but the opposite said.

Tom  will make sure that this runs for months.

In the immediate term, we just have to hope that the high court rules in favour of RBS/Broughton and the jurisdiction of law, and the sale can go ahead before Friday.

Tom will drag the issue's regarding his $1.6bn compensation for his hurt feelings through court after court after court, over the course of months, if not years.
