Unfortunately, we are now beginning to see what an absolutely disastrous decision it was to sack Rafa. Does anyone believe that we would be in this state if he had stayed. But, that's all water under the bridge now. I said I'd give Roy a year but right now, I'm beginning to waver on this. I don't have confidence in the kind of football we are playing. Last year, Rafa had one of the worst injury crises I can remember. This year, there are no injuries. There is no excuse for a start like this. The idiots in charge ignored what Rafa did for the club while myself and a large section of the fans protestations were ignored. This is what happens when the people at the top are clueless. The only silver lining is that this may scare the heck out of the current owners as they can now forget any hope whatsoever of CL football. Hell, we'd be lucky to get into Europe at the rate we are going.
I know there is a long way to go in the season and I think we will turn it around (how could we not with players like Gerrard and Torres) but I expect that a mid-table finish isn't exactly the type of change the muppets who were clamouring for Rafa to be sacked were hoping for.
