Ive sent Mr Wright a reponse to his email. Hopefully he'll get it, which I doubt but you never know
Dear Mr Duncan Wright,
I am writing in reponse to your email you have sent to a fellow Liverpool supporter this morning.
Firstly this mass email campaign has nothing directly to do with SOS. FACT. Secondly I appreciate your comments and i quote,
"Trouble is, you want us to be sympathetic, but an orchestrated campaign which involves thousands of emails blocking up the system only serves to disgruntle and alienate people in the media who love nothing more than to spend three hours hitting the delete button"
May I put it to you, that if only a hanful of people contacted you then you would not consider it 'newsworthy' as it would be deemed to not represent the majority of supporters opinions.
I personally believe that we as supporters and fans of football have the right to be heard, and the media who have the ability to make the world change its opinion and the way things are done should start actually reporting the truth about the way our clubs are being bled dry by the negligient owners & associates who try to play chess with our national sport.
Everything stems from the common man. You write opinions for the common man to read. Your bread and water is facilitated by the common man. The common man is the root. You are the common man. But it seems to me that your not willing to fight for the common man. You're not willing to fight for yourself, for whats good & for whats right and for what made this country what it is today.
You know the situation is dire. You know something has to be done. But you continue to sit back and do nothing. For once, why not take the bulls by the horn and be a shepherd instead of the sheep.
Make these people accountable for their actions before its too late, because once it is too late their will be no return.
Yes, I admit our email protest may seem desperate, but this is where we are. We NEED YOUR HELP. Show us that you understand our plight and the emails will stop. Show us that you understand the people, who buy your paper everyday. Who just want to go and see their team play on the pitch and not have to worry about whats happening in the boardroom and the emails will stop. Show us that you actually care about our national sport and the emails will stop.
It only takes one action from you to get one of your journalists to follow up on our emails. Remember, although this is specific for Liverpool FC, it could be the start of something great, giving back whats rightfully the common mans. Giving other supporters hope. Giving them something to believe in. Giving them a sense of pride once again.
LETS GET OUR CLUBS BACK BECAUSE ITS THE PEOPLE THAT MATTER.
