Someone had posted this on Facebook so I couldn't see the date straight away and I immediately thought April fools joke.

Nearly, not quite but nearly as bad as a groundshare

This is what happens when designers take class A drugs.
;D

Dreadful idea. Hope this has no links to the footy quarter idea.

I think the idea is brilliant. Save tons of costs yet still have your own stadium and share those things like parking lots, corporate boxes and so on that add nothing to your clubs identiy.

Also just think of all the media attention that such a stadium would bring to Liverpool (and Everton), just because that idea is so unique and in so many ways completely weird :) Naming rights would sell like crazy.

Agree though that the stadiums look ugly and boring and there shouldn't be a hotel on one side of the pitch. Just give a little bit of individuality to each stadium ...

Don't mention the war! ;)

This isn't such a bad idea and I have posted it on her before.

We should be able to build 2 new stadium in Stanley Park, then knock down Anfield and woodison.

The council could build a 3rd smaller stadium for the reserves to share maybe have a running track, swimming pools, tennis courts, make it multi functional and change Anfield the area in to something to be proud of.

Liverpool as a city has one chance to get this correct, these stadiums will last another hundred years.

With 3 new state of art stadiums Liverpool could premote its self as the sports capital of the country.

Much in the same that Melbourne (I think) does in Australia.

If this ever happened it would be the biggest monument to human pettiness ever built, (and I say that without a hint of hyperbole and the Berlin Wall in mind...  ;))

If you're going to do this to save costs, you may as well just share the fucking thing. That atrocious design and idea just looks ridiculous in that 'yeah, we'll share a stadium and a stand with you, BUT NOT A FUCKIN PITCH OK?!?!' Utterly ludicrous idea I think.

Would love the 19th more and more trophies; but would love even more to see a fan owned LFC.

Agreed that would be the ideal but where is the money going to come from? We can barely to afford our own at the minute and Everton certainly can't without the help of Tesco. The council doesn't want to build 2 stadiums when it can get away with one so we are stuck at this impasse. Then people trying to cut costs produce ideas like this!

And we build that monstrosity in the middle of Stanley Park?
Without any consideration for the local residents. And seemingly without the knowledge that the money they save would in all likelihood be swallowed up by the vast expense of a transport management system that would be used twice as often.

At the end of the day no one would ever consider a ground share to Manure and City so why on earth do they suggest it to us? We are just as big if not a bigger footballing city than Manchester!
