It's also important not to give up, regardless of price. 442 winners on the trot recently ended.

'Spiderman' was the original record holder with 350. I've had a few attempts at beating his record and finally made it. I don't think I'll be having another go for a while as there's not enough motivation any more to be honest.

It'll be some time before anyone beats that.

I'll give this challenge a go soon.

The only thing I don't like about doing this is if you double up 3 times starting with a £10 stake, you've only made £80 and the chances are you will run out've luck soon before you've seen a big profit. Whereas if you start with a £100 stake, after 3 succesfull bets you will be £800 up.

I'm giving this a go for the first time in years!
Started off with a tenner on Port Vale tonight at 20/23. Slightly risky as they haven't been all that consistent at home, but Oxford have lost four of their five away games and Port Vale are second in the league, so I'll take the chance.

Cheers mate, didn't expect it to be that easy! :)
Second bet is £18.70 on a Belgium and Italy double at a shade over evens. Belgium are coming off a great win in Serbia and should have too much for the Scots and I don't envisage any problems for Italy against a Denmark team in poor form.

So far so good and I resisted the urge of betting on things I know little about over the next few days.
I'm not sure if doing a treble's a risky way of doing it, but I've gone for three of tomorrow's 'dead certs' in Frankel winning, Man U beating Stoke and Ronaldo scoring anytime at home to Celta Vigo. Would turn 38 quid into 80.

Still going, though Ronaldo had me worried for an hour or so!
There was nothing I was confident enough on to put my full 80 on so I've split it and done singles on Getafe at home to Levante at 5/6 (good home record so far v very poor away record) and Everton away to QPR at 6/5, due to QPR being dire.

Bastard! I guess it was a good run while it lasted, I'll try this again but I'll give the both teams to score one a go next!

Right starting again with a tenner double on Man U to beat Braga and Messi to score anytime against Celtic.
I didn't realise until I put the bet on that Braga were unbeaten in their last seven European away games, so I'm a bit worried now, but can't say I'm concerned about the other half of it!
*cue the Mancs wnning and Messi pulling up injured after two minutes.

Fairly typical! Since then I've made a bit of progress though. Started again with a tenner and have had wins on Lyon on Thursday and Dartford last night to take me past 40 quid. My next bet's on high-flying Gillingham away to AFC Wimbledon.

Gillingham took me to 73 quid, but I shaved off 13 backing a sending off in the derby, so now I'm putting 60 on Villa at 6/5 away to Swindon.
Villa may be a dire Premier outfit, but they must be taking the league cup reasonably seriously to have won at the Etihad in the previous round and it just seems too big a price against a team two leagues below who haven't even been all that good at home this season.

Well that could hardly have been closer!
Up to 132 quid now, but not sure what to go with next. I fancy Chelsea to beat Man U as I think they'll put a stronger team out and will probably be the more motivated of the two sides, but I'm not quite confident enough to put my full wedge on them and it may be worth waiting until the line-ups have been announced. Chelsea's odds will no doubt drop if they do have the stronger line-up, but it might be best to be on the safe side.
Edit: Fuck it, 61 quid on Chelsea at 6/5 and the same on Rangers at home to Inverness at 11/10. If both go tits-up like the last time I split my stake, then at least I've still got my tenner waiting for me to start again!
