Bit worried about this one alright. If she can win this set though she’ll go on and win the match

Broke back, so needs to hold her serve here. At least get to 4-4 then break and serve for the set.

You're about 3 and a half games behind  :D

40-15 up to go 2-2 in the second, loses 4 points in a fucking row to go a break down again. Fuck sake

I wouldn't be too harsh on yourself; there's a reason bookies clean up.

In the last week I've bet against a side that's lost 15 of their last 17 with no wins, who promptly win away from home, and against a team that's lost 9 aways in a row, conceding 2+ in the last 7, who have promptly ground out a 0-0. I've also missed out on an 8-0 because the game date and time changed about 3 times.

As I said the other day, my bet is as likely to be a women's game or an obscure Caribbean Island league as it is to be one of the top European leagues.
I look for value in the bet, and they're as reliable as any other game.

I don't agree - betting is a bit like scouting, it's at its most potent when data is married with the eye test. So unless you're watching these leagues, I don't consider it to be as reliable.

I used to watch a lot of tennis so I bet on it, but the sport simply isn't as good as it used to be so I don't anymore.

G for Gerrard may well still do, but in women's tennis there is no clear gulf between most players, whereas in football I think there is and there's more value to exploit.

Goals are goals, no matter what country they are scored in. I've bet on pretty much every league there is to bet on. Barbados Premier League was one of my favourite leagues until corona hit.
1st half Asian handicap on women's games is one of my favourite bets, especially after the 30 minute mark.

I understand what you're saying, but I personally couldn't care about needing to watch the game I've bet on.

As long time users of this thread know, I like a bet on obscure leagues.
Last night was a Nicaraguan Cup game.

https://youtu.be/wkVJeP9z1vU

If you fast forward to around 40 minutes 10 seconds (17:55 gone in the game), you may hear the commentator give a shout out to me and Phil M  :D

Phil M and I are celebrities in Nicaragua  :P

Pretty sure I won we'll over £300 on this game from various bets.

I don't doubt that yourself and plenty of people out there have some success on obscure leagues etc - but mid-to-long term there are drawbacks to it if you aren't watching it and/or acquired strong knowledge of the teams/league you are regularly betting on.

That's just my opinion though :) I'm sure some bet slips out there would beg to differ.

On the flipside, the standard of trading on these games you are betting on is likely to be much lower, so if you have acquired decent knowledge of it, there is definitely more scope for you to gain more edge. So I can see it from that angle. I still see enough clear mistakes on elite level matches to keep me content personally though.

;D

You're right insofar as value is value regardless of the league, and you can definitely get better value on obscure leagues.

However, my growing concern is the level of match fixing in such matches. Also, these days, it is hard to know if one of these amateur teams has had a COVID outbreak which weakens them. It is more of a lottery for that reason but in the long-run, I'm happy to take the misses to get the hits! I'm looking at Fram in the Icelandic second division for example at 3pm today  ;D Given my recent run, they're doomed if I go near them! It is the last day of the season, and they've long been champions so they might be on the beer for all I know.

They can be a gold mine if you unearth one.
That Russian game last June was amazing.
There was one not too long ago with one side only having 8 players available. Hills still had markets. -3 was something like 40/1. Fuckers were only 3-0 up with 79 minutes played and the game got abandoned due to 'injuries'  :D

Does my head in when bookies get away with these ones. I remember many years ago a Phillippines cup match between two shit teams but one was ultra bad. I backed the less shit one and wondered why they were dominating to a crazy degree early on. I lumped on a bit and they started scoring. For some reason I went to the Phillippines cup match Twitter and found that the extra bad team started with 9 players!!! Moreover the other side needed to win by 15 to qualify. At this point I was restricted to betting smaller amounts and the game was 20-0 after 60 minutes before it was halted because the 9-man team was down to 6 after injuries.

I also remember a Lithuanian women's team that was 66/1 to win and 100/1 HT/FT. They were new in the league and their only home game was a loss to the ultra dominant Gintras. The opposition werent' great so I monitored it for a few minutes and found the outsiders had started well. Backed them at 66s, 100s HT/FT and 10/1 to score first. They won 4-1 and had about 25 shots to 5!  ;D That was my biggest ever win.

That immediately made me think of this

Kitchee Reserves can suck my fucking balls. Get to fuck you absolute bastards
Absolutely no way that game isn't dodgy as fuck. Kitchee conceded 2 goals in 10 games. Both to 1st Placed BC Glory. They were 1.800, so 4/5, to win -4.0 Asian handicap, and they're getting beat 7-0. They beat this team 5-0 a few weeks ago. Fucking c*nts.

Home side were something like 40/1 to win or something stupid like that, and they go and win 7-0  ;D
