Was bound to happen though wasn't it. Now plenty of mongs will buy that to try and fit in with the spirit of their protest and really they'll just be doing the complete opposite.

Quite funny really :P

you can bet any money that the japanese/chinese/korean tourists at OT will lap up the official green and gold gear

I know those plastic flags are shite but what if we were to use them in a protest fashion (and not as support items like Chelsea/Villa etc) to make our point.  The very fact that we would be using them to signify our displeasure at the current situation would demean them for what they are anyway which is plastic shite.

How about 40,000 black flags, maybe with 'LFC IS IN THE WRONG HANDS' or something, written in grey on them.
United used to win titles on easy street, time for us to take over that real estate

Hmmm, cut quite a dash in town after the match too. I'm sure that muskets aren't specifically banned from the ground too.  If you can come up with regulation samba boots then I think we have a winner.

If we're looking for a way to make our protest inside, how about everyone raises one fist with a red glove on it before the match (after YNWA) and at the start of the second half. Would be in the mould of the two American runners who raised black gloved fists at the Mexico Olympic to support the civil rights movement in the US. Would have a visual impact, demonstrates strength and solidarity, and will mean something to our American owners.

Red pride. Yanks out.

Have to say I agree - I also think that however bad things are at Liverpool it's a bit crass copying a protest against years of racism, slavery, discrimination and lynchings just because we're a bit pissed off with our owners.

Let's try and keep a bit of perspective.

Surely doesn't have to be something people wear to get attention - maybe making noise would make us harder to avoid.

How about everyone takes a whistle?  Annoying as fuck - impossible to ignore - cheap to buy (most people may have one already at home).

40,000 whistles would make a racket - market it as 'Blow Full Time on the Owners'?

We are Liverpool. We are Unique. And we always have been. Others copy us, not the other way round.

I suppose you mean this as a rallying call rather than historical fact..?

Quote
Liverpool F.C. were founded by Houlding to play at the vacated Anfield. The original name was to be Everton F.C. and Athletic Grounds, Ltd., or Everton Athletic for short, but it was changed to Liverpool F.C. in June 1892 when The Football Association refused to recognise the team as Everton

There's a reason they get attention for it. They're fucking Manchester United. The media whores love them and will give them any publicity for just about anything. What makes you think we'd get any significant publicity for doing something similar, when there's been scant mention of any protests that have happened to date?

We could get a shedload of these and deflate them then throw them at the owners the next time they have the nerve to show up....or even throw them on the pitc....i think it would be quite symbolic...1000`s of deflated footys all with the US flag on them..killing football and all that.

Would be awesome that and something I advocated doing at Anfield a while back in another thread, we'll see but I won't hold my breath of that happening. Also think if everyone turned there back on the pitch too it would send out a huge message.

I would back a 6 minute silence by the United fans whilst we sang the loudest version of YNWA ever.
