Author Topic: Stevo7's Gävle Goat Watch, ft. 2023's Bird Watcher, Barneys Daughter (Read 262257 times)

I have worked in security business in the past. I find it astonishing that arsonist's can pull off such a thing let alone do it for many years. Surely the the Goat covers no more than 50m^2 area on the ground. It is also fenced off and just to jump/break though a fence takes 10-30s. If you have one security guard it should be enough to stop/catch 90-95% of arsonist unless they are sleeping on there job. For such a high risk target they can probably afford 2 guards , with that type of security and fencing I find it really hard to believe that there is no conspiracy. Surely the security is either totally inept or totally corrupt.

I think it's more of an accepted thing that it will happen every year and the police turn a blind eye to it - as it has become a tradition. People who know more about it can correct me, but that is my suspicion.

I´m so sorry that I already have to leave you! I had really thought and hoped that I would celebrate Christmas with all of you and get to go with you into the new year but unfortunately it was someone who did not think so! Last night just after four pm it got really hot. Someone set fire on me, ugh! terrible!

I've just realized that LFC not qualifying for next years Champions League may not be all that bad if we can secure a Europa League place.

AIK Stockholm have finished 3rd in their league and have qualified for the Europa League next year. If we can somehow orchestrate a draw against AIK (pay off officials, Blackmail Michel Platini, whatever it takes), we can then hopefully play them in the away leg in the last group game during early December 2015. Barring the early bird arsonists ruining things for everyone, the goat will still be intact, thus enabling hoards of Liverpool FC fans to make the short trip North from Stockholm to Gavle to visit the goat and take pictures and stuff.

Hope we finish 5th this season and this indeed happens.
