I see that all the threads about Fiorentina-Heysel-Liverpool are locked so I'll use this thread to post one picture from a few weeks back when Juve fans(against Udinese I think) put a disgraceful, fascist banner about Croatian hooligans from the Bad Blue Boys. It said "solidarity with the Ustašas from Zagreb".  If you don't know,Ustaše were a fascist, quisling army and regime during WW2.

What is it with violence and Italian fans?  There's nothing in the least bit hard about them, just a pack of little bollocks looking for a big cock to hang off.  Fuck off, the lot of yers.

I was not around to witness Shankly, but with all his quotes about the club being for the people, about making the supporters happy and about directors only being there to sign the cheques, perhaps it is a day more than any other to protest for the club that we and he loved.

Afterall it was he who built it up, so while the day should rightfully be all about him it would surely also be a disrespect in itself to let these bastards tear it down.

If the older lot think I'm chatting shit, then forget I said anything. I just don't think that a protest against the owners on that day would be a disrespect to the great man, we'd only be fighting for what he helped create.

No No No !

You can do what you want but dont fuck with the Shankly day, NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES fuck his day over and you will split the fan base. I for one will never forgive anyone who fucks with the Shanks. Never

Keep your protests away from Shankly's day.

Its a day to remember the man the manager the man who laid the foundation for our greatness to ruin it with any protest, I am to fucking angry to even come up the words that express what I want to say.

DONT FUCK WITH THE SHANKS

I think the Wigan game has been picked for Shanks' celebration so I highly doubt there will be protests then.

I'm not, that's why I posted this to show that every club has it's fair share of c*nts and we shouldn't tare them all with the same brush. That includes our "twinning" with the Violas.

Think the lack of any protest last night, or certainly nothing that was caught on tele, was a trick missed.

With two games in just a few days, both on TV it was the perfect opportunity to show that any protest is to be sustained and well supported.

Sunday will come along and if the media choose to, will be easy to spin, or even ignore, though had it been done on both games it would have had greater impact and maybe educated a few other Liverpool fans, that would plan to watch both games, but not really know our plight.

Sunday, will have to be bloody special, but as there was no banners seen by the TV last night, and no chants picked up..... looked like we were content with our current plight.

Hi all.
I don't know the facts...
But if it is true, that the Kop didn't show the mosaic cause an opinion of a Juventus fan went here... personally I'm really disappointed.

I don't want to bother you about rivalry between Fiorentina and Juventus fan, and I already said my opinion about the twinning and the Heysel's facts in the threads of Fiorentina - Liverpool.

I think that you could meet our fans and our hospitality.
We think really that you are a legend to be a fan.

Cheers from Florence.

No.  Thanks to the situation on the ground which is that a good proportion of match going fans don't want any protest to happen at the game. Also factor in that last night I would estimate (from a straw poll around us) that 50 - 65% of regs had moved their tickets on to non-regs then the level of disinterest was probably even higher.

It's all very well setting yourself up as the leader of the great rebellion Tiz Lad, but you have to take the people with you, without them you are nothing.

Hello mate.  Welcome to RAWK and congratulations on both last night's result and on topping the group.  All the best for the rest of the competition particularly if you draw another English team at some stage.

Please don't take the cancellation of the mosaic as a sleight on the hospitality shown by the Viola.  Unfortunately in the end it was a situation in which there could be no winner but given Liverpool FC's history there was no way that the club could proceed with something that would be seen as being insensitive to feelings in Torino.

Not doing anything of the sort, but last minute changes to plans, lead to disorganisation and confusion. I readily admit I'm nothing to you, not that I'm bothered.

I'm not intending to take the people with me, just expressing an opinion, but that's not wanted either.

If you think that anything with more fervour will happen on Sunday as an expression of our levels of disgust with the owners then great, however I doubt it will happen.

Mr Hicks and his entourage will swan in and out on Sunday, mumble their way the YNWA with their new scarves for the game, without the slightest notion thart anything's going on.

To be honest we didn't really have a choice mate.  Given the concerns raised about the nature of the Liverpool - Fiorentina friendship (even if they are without foundation) the club could not be seen to officially endorse that friendship.

In life you can only do what you think is right, how people react to that is largely beyond your control.

I think this is bad information.

The Arsenal match is the Shanks tribute. Which is why apparently both owners will be over.

I think .tv will expand on Shanks Day and then we'll know for sure.

Arsenal would be picked because it is the nearest league match.

Uefa have all their sponsor duties so the club have more of a problem doing something when we play in the CL.

As i say, could be wrong but we'll know soon enough.

Yes, of course, they're only paying tribute to the Great Man just to gain brownie point.

Also factor in that last night I would estimate (from a straw poll around us) that 50 - 65% of regs had moved their tickets on to non-regs then the level of disinterest was probably even higher.

Judging by those around me that is true - but I find it ironic and sad that so many who claim to be 'the real support'  swerve games like this when I believe we could have made a real point by showing up loud and en masse for a dead rubber.

A full angry Anfield last night would have made a point about what the club means to the fans - unfortunately it was a million miles from that.
