Can’t believe I hadn’t watched one episode of this until the other night on More4.

Watched the first 3 or 4 episodes on demand and it’s very funny :)

If I’d known Linehan had written it, I’d have watched it years ago.

Ps. I know everyone hates Graham Linehan these days but he’s a genius comedy writer

Phenomenal show and cast. All are excellent but Matt Berry is bloody superb.

Him and Ayoade are in Garth Marenghi's Dark Place too on 4OD, just brilliant.

... AND THEN STEAL IT AGAIN!

Was a line that made me properly lose it upon first watch.

Of course, that's possibly down to Peter Serafinowicz's delivery as much as the writing.

First rule of Street Countdown. Is that you really must try and tell as many people as possible about it. It's a rather fun game and the more people you tell about it the better.
They have life in them, they have humour, they're arrogant, they're cocky and they're proud. And that's what I want my team to be.

That's my favourite episode of the lot, I cry laughing every time I watch it.

I've just rewatched the whole lot on Netflix, still as funny as ever.

The theory is it was doing this scene and then getting called out on it is what triggerd Linehans interest/obsession, and downfall.

Chris O'Dowd's delivery of 'acid?' when asked how he got his disability he had is only topped by Richard Ayoade's delivery of 'double whiskey, and a glass of white wine' in this. An absolutely flawless episode of sitcom.

I was just thinking as well that a fair few years earlier you had the 'Ladyboys' bits on I'm Alan Partridge, with it being considered a weird enough kink for comedy then for him to be into. Took me a minute to realise that Linehan was involved in writing that too and was probably responsible.

However odd he might have gone on Twitter (I don't really use Twitter) - he's a comedy writing genius.
