"Michael Carrick, best midfielder in the world." Pissed meself laughing.

Oh good, somebody else heard it, too! I couldn't believe he said that. I wondered who he could have been talking about given that Alonso wasn't on the field.

But to be fair, Carrick was doing something with the ball for them, and Ferguson fucked it up when he subbed him off.

Fuckin cringeworthy, funniest thing I've heard in a while & sums them lot up to a tee. :)

If Andrea Dossena is willing to score an irrelevant fourth goal for Liverpool in every game to the end of the season, then I for one am willing to plant a big fat smacker on whichever big fat Italian cheek he waves my way.

We need to stop getting carried away.

I've just seen a preview of tomorrow's papers and that was officially the worst United team for decades.

Let's face it the papers are right we weren't very good, we were just Lucky they played so badly.

What planet are you on mate. The papers were going on about how good this team were, nine straight victories in a row. That united side were strong with one of the best defensive records going. Yo as well as the papers are full of shit

No matter what happens now, even if the mancs end up winning the league, this is a morale-boosting victory and at least sets us up well for next season.  Yeah I know it’s a marathon and we need to turn the draws against the lesser opposition into wins etc… but Rafa will be working on that.  But we’ve now convincingly beaten Chelsea and the mancs in four consecutive games, home and away, coming from behind twice, ending Chelsea’s unbeaten record, 13 points out of 15 against the big four (whoever they are now) and all…  Surely, that must mean something.

Special mentions from today’s game:

Fernando Torres:  Commentators can say whatever the fuck they want about united’s defence not being on their game, knackered, whatever crap…  It was actually Torres’ constant harrying and flicks and turns that eventually had the better of them and caused Vidic to give up, that’s how you win games.

Steven Gerrard:  To step up in those circumstances and so coolly slot it in just says it all about our captain; I actually kissed him back (I kissed a boy and I liked it…)

Fabio Aurelio:  Like others said, had Ronaldo in his pocket, and that free kick was sublime.

Dossena:  Did the most of the little time he had, a couple of great crosses, he started the move with the cross to Babel that Stevie should have scored.  I knew he was going to score today, but thankfully I didn’t write it down.

Sami Hyypia:  Eternal.  He gives thirty-somethings like me hope in life.

Rafa:  Don’t know if anyone else mentioned it here, but this was his 100th victory in charge of LFC, and a very appropriate time, place, and manner to do it.  Congrats Rafa, this one will be remembered.

I hope we carry this positive mentality for the rest of the season and see where it leads us.

I bet the same 'manc' (probably from somewhere other than Manchester) was one of the thousands who left their team playing on with a three quarter empty Old Trafford.... More humiliation for them seeing how their beloved fans stay till the end through thick and thin.
