Fair Cop - Fans Should Know Their Rights
« on: February 20, 2009, 03:14:38 pm »
Following on from the FSF's Fair Cop campaign that was run at Portsmouth v Liverpool recently (see this thread), some people were asking about finding out details of the flyers that were being handed out and what they contained.

Click on this link to open a pdf version of the Fair Cop cards that were handed out at Portsmouth. Hopefully soon we will see these being handed out at grounds up and down the country as the initiative is picked up by local FSF divisions and their volunteers.

It's important to know your rights and take note of this information.

If you're interested in helping out the FSF, or joining, then just get in touch with us through our website.

Cheers :)

Just thought I'd send this back up to the top of the board for the start of the weekend.

People should know this, but unfortunately it makes no difference if the coppers you're dealing with have no concept of your personal rights and just want to move you on. The amount of trouble i've had over the years because i was near suspected 'ooligans' is unreal.

Knowing your rights and the police respecting them is a different matter.

The thing is, though, if they infringe your rights then you can bring a complaint against them. Knowing your rights and refusing to be treated like shit is important.

Anyone who suffers any poor policing at the match, get in touch with the FSF. They have people to deal with this sort of thing, can put you in touch with solicitors and campaign on your behalf.
