Brilliant mate nice one.
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Stunning post.

Some great pictures to look back on. Roll on Part 2.
"When I decided to sign a new contract I did it because Liverpool Football Club is more than a club. It is the heart of the city. It is our life and for the people here it means so much. I thought I had to sign. We have to fight. We have to do it."

Rafa tried to buy everyone.  :)
In fact, Rafa spotted Messi as a dollop of sperm but couldn't get the money from H+G.

thanks for the wonderful post phil and for the shameless bump......missed it first time. I was 7 in 62, and every name of that team was filled with heroic power for me ......gerry bryne....the first footballer I had a bubble gum card of, still have the card, faded and crumpled from all the thousands of reverent stares from my childhood. And a special mention for alec lindsays' sideburns. Thanks for the journey phil.

Loved it...got a chuckle from this as well...

Shanks certainly had an eye for talent, in the summer of 1971,
a young player called Kevin Keegan signed for us from Scharlie uniform november tangohorpe Utd:
By the way, I should tell you that I haven’t had a chance to shower while making my way up here, my balls are extra vinegary.

Second time around, even more emotional than when I first read it thanks again Phil.

There should be a library of threads like these where younger supporters can understand our great history
"Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and making yourself available to receive a pass, it is really that simple"

"Friend, mourn not, though he premature departs, his wisdom marches on within our hearts"

Heres a challenge to everyone on RAWK, anyone got a picture of the "Old" Boy's Pen that used to be in front of the Kemlyn or indeed the "New Boy's Pen" that was in the Kop, by the Main Stand.
A boy from the Mersey and a Son of Shankly.
