Wasn't meant to sound quite like that Jonny but I think the darkening and lightening involved more than just the white gable end. Even the NT's own description of their photograph describes it as "retouching, mainly to darken the gable end of the house in the foreground"
As I said though - superb image regardless
Ha, brilliant thanks for that mate, never seen that image before, goes to show there was quite a bit of general darkening to "frame" the ship in the way that is so spectacular.
