What a fucking final.
28 straight wins without loss from the Roar.
Still can't believe that comeback... even though I wanted Central Coast to win.

Great final. Alot of drama, I personally wasnt giving up on the Roar, they are a great team and would love to see how they go in the Asian Champions League because they play some fabulous stuff. The only downside was listening to Andy Harpers commentary. The man is the biggest kn*b out and every game he does I practically mute it, although I didnt today. All in all a great final and great crowd, well deserved Brisbane Roar.

Just back from the game. Holy... shit!!!! Did that really just happen?!?!? Wow!!!!

Has to be the best domestic Australian football match in history? At least the best finish? Totally dominant in normal time despite finishing 0-0 (and taking our unbeaten record to 28 games in the process). To lose 2 soft goals in the first half of extra time was soul destroying, and I have to admit with 11 mins gone in the 2nd half of extra time I thought we had no hope, but wow... 2 goals in 3 mins, including one with less than 30secs on the clock, and then destroyed them in the pen shootout. Wow! Wow! Wow!

Surely the most noise that has ever been made at an Australian domestic game ever?? Was incredible. Hope those videos go around the footballing world :)

WOW, incredible game and a pleasure to witness it in front of a full capacity Suncorp Stadium, beautiful stadium on days like today where the whole stadium turned orange!!

I can add today's events to the 'Miracle of Istanbul' by naming it the 'Miracle of Suncorp Stadium'

Was a superb game. Unbelievable last few minutes.

On the note above on noise, MV's grand finals in front of 54,000 with the Northern Terrace and South End in full voice leaves Suncorp eating dust a fair way behind.

No doubt MV in full voice far exceeds us under normal circumstances... but has MV ever scored 2 goals in the last 3 mins of extra time after the situation looked desperate? If so, ok I imagine they might have done as well / better, but seriously, the noise in the place then. Wow!

James Robinsons 90th minute winner in the major semi in 06? (iirc) erupted Etihad, thats one that comes to mind Pondlejak's GF winner as well.

Credit to the Brisbane public though, although there was a few empty seats.. :P

Fully deserved the win for an outstanding season, and Theo still has it, superstar.

Not sure how convinced I am with Melbourne's keeping stocks next season with the signing of Velaphi..

When that corner kick was taken with 20 seconds to go.

When that ball was swung in, 5 Brisbane players all went at it.... when it connected with the head of big Eric Paartalu.... that moment .... before it had even gone in .... I can't explain THAT moment.

Everything paused in that moment.

The entire crowd gasped.

It is a moment I will never EVER forget after showing 6 seasons of pure loyalty to the Roar and never missing a game.

That was the moment I'd been waiting for so long!

Take it from a Glory supporter that Velaphi is a good young kepper. He has just had a slow, old defence in front of him the last couple of seasons (bar Scotty Neville). Any pace or counters and our defence was fucked.

I'll be uploading the final 15 minutes of extra time tonight. Stay tuned.

Also, this is as good a finish you could get in any soccer league around the world. Absolutely amazing. If this was the Champions League it would be hailed as the greatest final in the history of all time.

I was there for the game, sat through the rain and the times when the crowd thought we had lost...

Then Broich came up for the corner, and i was right there (2 rows back) and we were all screaming: "COME ON TOMMY" and that ball.... I have never seen a more beautiful corner, it was picture perfect...I swear that from the moment it left his boot to when it hit the back of the net it was all in slow motion...everyone was just watching that ball....best of all, they ran over straight to where I was and gee'ed the crowd up when they were celebrating.

Also, in the presentation when they left Matt McKay to last to introduce up and the whole of the crowd were chanting "Matty", that sent chills down my spine...

Best football match I've ever been to (so far)

All you have to do is click on the embed tag on youtube.
Then select 'use old embed code'.
Then you copy and paste the embed code and select the 'http://www.youtube.com/v/ZchW7MBe6OA?fs=1' and insert it between the flash tags.
You can also specifiy the size of the embedded video.
e.g. [ flash=640,390 ]http://www.youtube.com/v/ZchW7MBe6OA?fs=1[ /flash ] - without the spaces in the brackets obviously

That's what I did?

Just quoted it to look and you didn't do it correctly. You stopped the code at

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ts3lE6YI1Xc

You needed to have the extra part on the end like so.

http://www.youtube.com/v/Ts3lE6YI1Xc?fs=1

Your problem was your code only went to the Xc. You needed the ?fs=1 on the end and it would have looked like this.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ts3lE6YI1Xc?fs=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/Ts3lE6YI1Xc?fs=1</a>

Then I would change the size so it is bigger like so.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ts3lE6YI1Xc?fs=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/Ts3lE6YI1Xc?fs=1</a>

My code looks like this (without spaces)

[ flash=600,400]http://www.youtube.com/v/Ts3lE6YI1Xc?fs=1[ /flash]

actually looking forward to the start of this season.  it's a shame there is no nq fury but arghhh well.  i was supporting brisbane before we had a team so i will continue supporting them again.  dont think they will repeat last years efforts though.  even though there are a few teams that could push for top spot i reckon melbourne victory will be the team to beat.  just hope the quality of the league improves and we get more supporters down to the games.

Might head to NIB for the Glory on Sunday. We have assembled a strong team and look like signing Pantelidis as well. He has been training with Glory since Friday I think.

If their season goes terrible the board will have alot to answer for.

They have also applied to terminate Jason Culina's contract, which is baffling even if he is out for the season.

They signed him as a marquee player for 3 seasons and they think he might not be able to play for nearly 2. He is on something like $800,000 a season and Insurance wont cover the costs. If I was Tinkler, I would do the same to be honest. Fuck wasting $1.5 million on a player sitting around for 2 years.

In other news the Indonesians have bought a 70% stake in Brisbane.

Nice to get the financial side of things sorted out :)

I just hope these new owners don't interfere with team selection.

I am excited to hear the new owners talk about bringing in a marquee player.
