I thougt Bendner face when he got substituted at the weekend was hilarious.

I thought his goals were OK. Classic striker goals, you still have to be there to score.

I think the only reason Nasri scored though was because he was in a such a bad position for Nasri to pass to him and it was better for him to go alone.

Bendtner is an average player who had a good game last night. Arsenal have lots of terrifically skillful, technically excellent players. Bendtner isn't one of them, and his scoring record, amongst other things demonstrates that.

Its alright. It isn't however in the class of a Rooney, Torres, Villa or Drogba. If Arsenal aspire to be one of the best teams in Europe then that is the class of player they need. They have the supporting cast, but they still need the leading lady

I doubt he is their first choice striker. They have Van Persie and will probably be getting Chamakh in the summer. And those stats for a 3rd/4th choice striker are pretty good.

But he is a supporting cast player at the moment. Unfortunately with Van Persie injured, we don't have a ready made superstar replacement so we promoted a talented squad player to lead the line. As you have had to do when Torres gets hurt, as Chelsea and Man U would have to do

Senderos, one of the leftbacks (probably Traore), Eduardo will probably be gone by then, maybe someone like Denilson as well. Can't see Murphy or Cruise making it at the club.

At the moment, much derided players like Denilson and Almunia have been vital in recent weeks as well. When things go for you, things go for you but would still say Man U or Chelsea to win the league, if we go out of the CL before the final, we will wobble.

another thing. i remember last a couple of years ago alliadiere getting sent off against us. boro appealed it, it was rejected and he got an extra game. same for turner of sunderland earlier this season. however vermaelen got sent off last weekend, arsenal appealed, it was rejected but he didn't get an extra game. what's that about?

It's amazing how this comes to be seen as the perceived wisdom and trotted out by all and sundry. However, having said that, I want the Arse to win the league.

Do we really need Arsenal to win that thing to know that you don't have to have an endless pit of money to spend? We got very close last season and I think we've seen this season that things can go wrong for other clubs even if they spend loads of money. Chelsea and the Mancs have been nowhere near as dominant as the years before and City are still struggling despite (or because of?) spending a shitload of cash.

I think we all KNOW that you can win the league without spending a lot of money, but at the same time you'll also either need a very good season yourself (like us last season) or you need others to struggle (like this season with all of the big 4 dropping points at crazy places like Burnley or Pompey).

If it's between Arsenal and the Mancs (and I'm afraid that now it is), I'm all for the Gooners, but if it's between Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd. it's Chelsea all the way. It would still be a terrible sight, but it would be much easier to stomach than the inevitable wankfest over Wenger and his bunch of kids.

If Utd don't win the league, then Arsenal will. You can forget about Chelsea. Chelsea are running out of gas and they are losing confidence all the time and to be honest, Arsenal is now more consistent, the best squad we have had in 4 years and better goal threats.

To of lost our best striker since November and still able to score a pretty large number of goals is good.

We haven't won anything for years now. His tactics are nothing but dodgy and have been for a while. When we need a striker, he ignores it. We need a midfielder, he ignores it. We need a goal keeper, he ignores it. Basic stuff you need to win the championship.

Wenger is making the exact same mistakes he made in 2008.
