Did anyone else see what happened wuth Torres and Carsley in the 2nd half, it looked like one of them spat at the other, I was in the upper Annie and I couldn't make it out.

Pleased with the result, should of had more of a cushion at the end of the first half. Agree with what most people are saying about the performances. Xabi was just a yard off the pace today, but lets not forget that he has only just com back into the team. Roll on the Arse.

was at the match earlier and this is the first chance I have had to post. Wanted to heap special praise on riise who had his best game for ages and was his old self today.

I thought Gerrard was superb and Torres was just Torres!

Lucas leaves a lot to be desired but he needs more time to settle into the speed to the league and we will see the best of him next season.

Kuyt worked hard as ever and deserves some praise for that.

Atmosphere was superb in the first half but just like the match got tense in the 2nd half. Some of our chants were superb especially the one about the bitters fucking off to Kirby

Good win!

Has some average player taken over Alonso's body. He has certainly lost his spark and Lucas was very average in the 2nd half.

I think we could've won this by a few with the Masch in the side.

Thought Alonso was poor. Lucas struggled and his confidence/touch went AWOL with the crowd on his back.

Perhaps the captain could have had a word to help.

I saw Riise have a word with Babel, after all he knows how its feels to consistently fail to deliver a final ball!

Good game...

Skrtel was freakin immense. There is no way that he should ever be left out of the 1st choice CB pairing ever again.
He has everything that you need to be a good defender and then some. All he needs now is a proper squad number to cement his status

Alonso and Lucas....Was quite disappointed in how they could get the ball and set the team off in the 2nd half. They appeared to be overrun through the middle. Masch was missed.

Babel, Gerrard and Torres....Keep these 3 playing together and great things could happen for us in the future.
All 3 are different class and they just need someone of similar quality on the right.

Made up Riise and Kuyt had quality games today. Lucas was sloppy though. Gerrard and Torres, there's nothing that even needs to be said.

First of all, GET IN!

Thought the back 4 was very solid and composed, even Riise, skrtel MOTM imo.

Lucas and Alonso partnership: Lucas was probably one of the best players on the park the first half, very dissapointing 2nd though with his distribution but i thought his interceptions and reading of the game with blocks etc was spot on.
Alonso had a solid first half, and went missing completely 2nd half.

Gerrard, Fantastic first half, everywhere. Drifted away 2nd.

Rest did a good job, including fernando who slotted home the winner and won everything in the air and led the line well, probably a bit harsh saying good job, he was excellent.
