I know there is already a thread on Cheltenham, but I'm posting this to set up a bit of fun Tipster competition. I run this in work every year for a bit of a cash jackpot each day.
The rules are simpl(ish). Pick one horse per race each day. Points are accumulated as follows
Winner - 15 points
Second - 10 points
Third - 7 points
Fourth - 5 points
Points are only paid for places which the bookies pay out on (e.g. third for 8 or more runners and fourth for 16+ runners in a handicap)
Bonus points are available as follows
Winner over 24/1 = 10 bonus points
Winner over 16/1 = 7 bonus points
Winner over 8/1 = 4 bonus points
On each day you must also pick a NAP horse. If your NAP selection wins, then you receive an additional 10 points.
Entries to be PMed to me at least 5 minutes before the start of racing each day. You can also post them here on the thread for everyone else to see if you wish. I will post a table the following day for the previous days selections.
No prizes I'm afraid - just the glory of being RAWKs Champion Cheltenham Tipster 2008!!
EDIT : Any Non - Runners in your selections will be replaced by the SP Favourite (as per bookies rules for Placepots etc.)
Anyone with edits on their original posts after start of the first race will void all their selections!!! (not that any of you would attempt to cheat of course!!)
