My personal favourites:

Sanskruti (Yukti & Mowglii are also great)
Bacaro
Rudyís
Neon Jamon
Grilla
Trattoria 51

I also quite like Tiger Rock, but last time I went it wasnít as good as the previous 2 or 3 times.

Not really. Just the general top recommendations in Liverpool. But we will be a group of friends.

Wreckfish, Tratoria 51 and Hanover Social for starters.

My gf loves Hanover Social but Iíve never really had a decent meal there. Prob more down to bad luck on my part I guess as weíve gone with other people and theyíve always liked it.

Apocalypse Cow, at Cains Brewery (itís linked to Ghetto Golf I think, is part of the bar outside there), does some really good food too actually. Their loaded fries and halloumi chips are amazing.

Did Wreckfish for Sunday lunch yesterday, had topside of beef with roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, carrot and swede and gravy.  It was absolutely game changing, every element on the plate was flawless.  Finished off with some profiteroles for desert all for £20, absolute bargain.

Just don't have a go at me if you hate it 🤪

It was spot on. Like you said, nothing flash, but tasty food and good service.

How could it not be good, I had a Chilli Mo Salah!

Nothing flash, but I went to Big Bowl noodle for the first time in about a year and it was delicious as always. I had the salt and pepper char sui with fried rice and polished off the lot.

It ain't fancy but I haven't tasted 'better' authentic chinese food anywhere.

Have you tried Mr Chilli's? Some proper Chinese scran in there.

It is decent, but as mentioned in a few posts, aim to do the early bird as it can be pricey enough for the ala carte

Havenít been for a couple of years, but always had really good food and service at the Hilal Balti House on school lane in Formby. Used to go there loads when a mate of mine lived up that way.

Tiger Rock on North John Street. (Also, previously Chili Pot)

Been there several times now over the last twelve months, each time ordering an entirely different set of dishes from the menu.

Not had a bad dish yet. In fact. Everything has been pretty great.

Had another outstanding meal(s) again yesterday.

Finally got to Mowgli last night after seeing it mentioned on pretty much every page in this thread!

Was absolutely brilliant, will be going back as soon as I can. Those angry bird thighs are something else, delicious.

It's my favourite restaurant for sure. Only go for special occasions though as feel it's slightly on the expensive side for some of the dishes. The Bunny Chow is top for me - usually get that, some saag paneer and the chip butties.

I've never had a bad meal there.

Angry Bird thighs are tasty, the Bunny Chow mentioned above is only considered if you're really hungry haha, pleasantly surprised with the paneer curry as I had never had it before.

The chat bombs with starters and gun powder chicken is one of my main picks.

Sanskruti the week before last. Ace as ever. Took the daughter and her mate and they both loved it.

If eating with your eyes is the thing, then it doesn't get much better than here.

And i have to say, the Indian muzak is boss as well. From bhangra rave to Indian dub, what a mix.
