« on: January 13, 2008, 05:50:31 pm »
In line to make his Milan debut tonight. Could be quite interesting.

Seems to be alot of pressure and expectation on the guy, alot of people from Milan seem to be saying he's going to save their season etc. Even their harshest critics in the press will atleast admit that in training he looks a class above everyone they already have.

Listening to Tim Vickery the other week and he was waxing lyrical, going on about how he's going to be Brazil's next great striker. How before he even made his debut his team mates at Internacional were forced to sign contracts preventing them from talking to the press about him so he wasn't subject of bids before they could put a huge release clause into his contract.

On his debut I think I'm right in saying he set up 3 and scored another, so obviously had alot of hype to deal with immediately afterwards. Could be the same thing tonight. Seems to be alot of expectation around him...

Anyone have a link to watch the Milan - Napoli match online? These things are usually built up and then end in disappointment, but could be worth watching nonetheless.

Thanking you.

sounds the dogs bollocks, can't wait to see him

They all do though, to begin with. To be fair, this kid is allegedly outshining everyone in training for Milan. So maybe there's something in it. Alot of pressure though.

He juggled the ball on his shoulders while on the run with a defender in close proximity.  That absolutely blew me away because he was a 17 year old playing for Internacional then.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Didn't Berlisconni say that if he does as well as he's done in training for the rest of the season, he'll score 30 goals.

No pressure then.

Was the dogs bollocks when I saw him on his Internacional debut on Golassiomo made 2 assits and almost scored. This was when he was 16 years old aswell.

Hopefully R9's rebirth.

Yup. By the sounds of things they're staking alot of what remains of their season on him. A kid who hasn't played competitive football for like 8 months...

Best I've got is two Italian blokes talking in Italian and showing alot of the crowd. I thought it was just the build up, but it's been going on forever...

Ronaldo's having a better comeback than Pato is having his debut.

My cousin who is a 'colorado' (an Internacional fan) and who goes to most of their home games has been telling me he's amazing for some time now. Won't be able to watch the game but am looking forward to reading your assessments later.

By the way, what has Ronaldo's form been like recently?
