The Ince interview's good eh? Remember seeing him as a tot on Football Italia when Ince Snr was at Inter. He was always on about Claire and Thomas.

Decent game so far, Chelsea haven't offered too much so far, but we've been playing well. Amoo is lightning, but I'd like to see a bit more of Lauri.

Tom Ince is playing some lovely passes too.

Come on mini reds.  Only 10 minutes to go.

Like the look of David Amoo.  Got some decent pace.  Not afraid to take his man on.  Could be a future Walcott like player.

Mind you, there's been some shocking shooting in this game.  Had the goal been 50 foot wide and 50 foot high, they still would have missed the target.

Amoo should have scored a hattrick really, think he was a bit overwhelmed a couple of times when he was in on goal. Fitting that for all his good running, but poor shots, he scored with a great header.

That did make me laugh, Walcott - he has got more in common with Frank Bruno - he is one biiiiig boy. Needs to develop a bit of guile but got some great assets ie pace, strength. LDV is the one who impresses me the most though, he reminds me of Gudjohnsen in looks and style, what a work ethic and looks like he has Robbies shooting brain too.

Tom Ince good game as well, really clever positional sense allowing the forwards to play.
Let's also never forget the 39!

A few thoughts about the players tonight:

Bouzanis - Looks like he has real potential, seems to command his area, is a great shotstopper, although his distribution seemed poor.

Wisdom - In my mind it was pretty clear that he is a centre back not a fullback as his attacking positional play wasnt the best, but at only 15 you have to say he has a lot of potential and his ball skills seem very good.

Buchtmann - Came with a big reputation and at the moment I just cant see it. Seems to have the whole package technically and physically but when he plays it doesnt quite add up.

Ayala - Wow was impressed with him, strong and aggressive for someone who doesnt seem like he should be. Very assured.

Kennedy - For someone who forever seems like is leaving or doesnt have a future he played really well and deserved MOTM. Obviously big and strong but good reading of the game too. I dont think he will make it with us but played well none the less.

Irwin - Highly rated but I am not sure his form is there at the moment, very determined but too many poor passes for me today. Hope he picks up a bit soon.

Pepper - Aggressive despite being small seems to be able to put in a tackle. Good passer too and seems to have good positional sense in terms of finding space. Didnt do enough today to convince me that we will see him in the first team but he has a long time to go.

Ince - He seems to be coming on really well, his vision and passing is exceptional and he showed that again today in an attacking central midfield role.

Amoo - Took the piss out of Chelsea, they couldnt get the ball off him and he has pace and strength to burn. Also impressed by his ball skills and control but less so by the final ball. Looks very promising and I think I heard the commentator say he is now training with the reserves which doesnt surprise me at all.

Ecclestone - Thought he was poor and lucky to stay on the pitch today. Have seem him play very well in the past though.

LDV - Class..... he reminds me so much of Torres, his style, control and technique. Showed signs of being deadly. People have often said he is a clear no 10 although for me he is very much a number 9, and that appears to be what they are preparing him for.

Kacanaklic (sp?) - Lively when he came on and shows promise

Good preformance, I thought both our centre backs were superb. Impressed with Dalla Valle's game, there's alot more to the lad than just his goalscoring. The usual mention for Stevie Irwin who controlled the midfield and put in a few crunching tackles :thumbup
"I was pleased also with Peter Crouch. We have been talking to him, before and after his nose operation, to show more confidence with his heading.

"Now it seems to have worked. Lets say that if he has a few games without scoring again, maybe we should arrange to break his nose again."

Rafa.
