Standard was high at the beginning but it tailed off to be a BDO standard affair by the end. Thought Sherrock had blown it when she missed those doubles in the third set. Evetts will have to go some to not be remembered for being the first male player to lose to a female at the World Championships. Van Der Voort still hears it about losing to Dobromyslova at the Grand Slam all those years ago.

The averages seemed to tail off towards the final set as the pressure increased, but that's not entirely uncommon in any darts match.

Evetts now becomes the answer to a pub quiz question, but he's young and will get over it. Harsh really because he's always seemed like a nice kid.

It's always seemed to me that there's no real need to have any segregation in darts really, it's not like there's any physical strength involved. Hope more women have a go at q school.

I'd be struggling to name 5 worse throwers that have won it, at least in the last 30 years. Hasn't done a thing of note in the PDC.
