The renderings are rubbish, but much like the Indianapolis Colts ones for the Lucas Oil stadium in terms of quality, so maybe it's just the stage we're at in the process. Presumably the Dallas Cowboys images were much the same at an earlier stage.
For me, if they can demonstrate how the expansion's going to work, and provide animation, then we'll get a proper feel for the place.
It's nice and tight to the pitch though, and tall and steep enough to make sure the place buzzes. Pretty pleased with that.
I'm not sure that the quote you bolded means the corners won't be filled in Spencer...
One striking feature will see the South East and South West corners of the stadium visually open, providing views from the park deep into its heart."
What does 'deep into its heart' mean? into the pitch? If the stadium has to expand 18,000, then that's a lot of seats (just under a quarter of total capacity). Anny Road end and corners, or will there be enough room below the roof...
Still, nice and tight to the pitch so that's a great start. We need better images though.
