So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Thought I was dead and buried there with a Spuds win, reprieved. Can still go down though if Blackburn draw.

Youngest Son of Skittle is being crafty. He's waiting til after the Blackburn game and then getting the calculator out before doing a bet on the Plymouth game.

50 on Man City.

And so the endgame begins :).

Brave bet from Gianni, but if it doesn't come off, I'll still be in with a shout. And I may yet change my bet, just to give catto an added nightmare ;).

I don't think changing bets is in the spirit of the competition personally, especially after most of the games are finished.

My bet will lose now, but if it had of come off I think you would have been to far behind to anything about it. So your changed bet would have made no difference. ;)

As I said ...

I don't think changing bets is in the spirit of the competition personally, especially after most of the games are finished.

Actually, I was the first to argue that there should be a fixed deadline for all the bets to come in, but I've been told that if you choose to bet on the last game, you give yourself the advantage of knowing the outcomes of other bets, but at the same time you have a very limited choice of possible bets. In other words, you win some, you lose some, which is sort of fair ;).

I may disagree with the rules, but I guess as long as I play by the book, I can't be accused of playing unfairly.

In any case, unless City get a late equaliser, changing my bet will make no sense at all.

regarding late bet changes: i personally think why not, if u leave it late u have less options, also if say a player is at the top = means he has had a great season, then this all is part of the tactics, isnt it? as in a cup return leg say, liv v barca, liv need a draw or not to concede two goals, they play like that...go changes then
