And your comments are?

Yes its boring, but I'm sorry but time is running out, its the 26th of September if you are not aware, that gives us a few days to sort the whole deal out!  A business deal of this magnitude needs to sorted properly and ittakes time to sort fully and cross the T's and dot the I's

This is just a press association article picked up by the Post - not sure it adds much to what was said last Friday and can be found in virtually identical form in the Mail, Independent etc
If you're going to sign up on Betfair and fancy getting a free £25 on sign-up then use my refer code 749DCNQGK and I'll also get a £25 bonus ;)

You're right.  It's boring, it's also predictable and in my opinion downright insidious.

It is everyday now. There is a thread discussing the Post and the new stadium on TTWAR.  One poster alludes to perhaps a vested interest at work here because the story has gone beyond a bit of hype/sensationalism.

The Post's continued negative appraisal of the situation had led me to the opinion (and some others) that a vested interest is at play here.  In my opinion someone senior connected to Trinity Mirror Group must have an interest in us not buildiing our new stadium as this has now gone well beyond a bit of mischief-making.

At the end of the day, all the negative bullshit regularly and shamefully spouted by parts of the local media will stand for nothing if we come up with the dosh this week.

Please god I hope we do have a financial package in place, then The Echo/ Post etc can go and wallow in their misery in our victory  at getting this project finally off the ground

I dread the day when we actually start building the stuff - imagine how many sabotages there will be either by misguided individuals in blue and white shirts or additional obstacles put by the council?! ???

I don't think the council will be a problem once we get started, after all they're getting a good deal overall with the regeneration package attached to the deal.

Reckon you could be right over some bitters though, will be hard for them to see our brand new stadium bit by bit overshadowing their wooden dump. I think the ( hopfully massive single tier ) kop  faces them as well.

Seriously though, I think their would have to a high level of security 24 hours a day around the site.

True, but it is also true to say that was the case from day one and we all know how 'helpful' and cooperative' the council proved to be in that period.

Oh, dear! So, when we play on the same day they will have YNWA rammed down their throats, right? Lovely stuff that! ;D

I thought that as well, but it won't stop the bitters trying will it? I can see the headlines in the Daily Post now - 'The New Anfield Stadium Sabotaged Last Night- thugs in blue-and-white shirts captured on CCTV cameras' etc etc ;D

Kilfoyle mouthing off again,

mouthing off again?  I may have missed summat but I thought kilfoyle had backed us all the way, even going as far as attempting to get the NWDA to get it's act together.

and if

Quote
Mr Kilfoyle said: "I have tried to speak to the club on numerous occasions and it has always been a case of an announcement will be made soon.

"It is one thing for the great and the good to be re-assured, but my concern is the people of the Anfield area. The time for stonewall responses from Liverpool FC has to end."

is mouthing off what have alot of fans been doing recently?

The fact is that without the funding from lfc being in place the grant would not have been allocated.

The talk in the pub after the match Wednesday night was the Post is talking so much trash that even the Echo has contradicted the morning articles, but to me they're no different from any other media if they haven't anything new they'll make something up or write another meaning to the story.
If my assistant had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Patr Cheh. he beeped me to signal the foul. The noise from the crowd  stopped me hearing it, I have been involved at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Arsenal, but I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. IT WAS INCREDIBLE
