Radio One Hillsborough Song
« on: January 2, 2005, 07:11:53 pm »
Original post by rhubarbos on .tv-

Tomorrow on Radio 1 they have a 10 hour slot where people vote for the songs they want to hear.

If we all vote at, let's say 11am, for the Hillsborough tune then maybe they'll play it and give some free publicity to the HJC.

Reckon it'll work?

Thought I'd share his idea and see what everyone thinks.

I think he means the one called 'Tragedy' that's just been released, you can buy the CD via .tv.

It is shit... but that's not really the point is it. I still bought it. Problem is I would VERY much doubt radio1 would have it..... might be a better idea to requestion SYMM, or heart as big as liverpool maybe?

I'd rather just donate the money to the HJC than buy it personally.

Would be publicity to the HFSG as thats who it's for.

thinng is curly I'd rather give my money direct to a charity than have some shite record out. That's if it is a fundraising venture as the LFC site doesn't expand on that?

Another slight problem I have with it is it's in aid of the HFSG yet they've apparently disbanded (or been on the verge of) on a few occasions and gave away a large cheque totally quite a few thousand from their funds in 2001 to the 911 fund for NY firefighters.

not 'terrible' exactly but inappropriate

How would you contact the HFSG?

I wouldn't even with my last breath, just curious like?

ITV, BBC or SKY.

Just listen to it anyway, some good music on at the moment.

Challenge to RAWK is to get Ring of Fire on. ;)

Or at the very least la Bamba.
