The tv and The arse
« on: April 25, 2002, 09:13:10 pm »
If by pure fluke the arse win the league this year i think tv will have won it for them.
Over the past few weeks i've been noticing a pattern,us and manure have been playing then either the day after or whatever the arse have been playing, this gives them a pyschological advantage, knowing that they have to win, surely this has to be stopped,
and don't give all that crap about fixture congestions as we won 3 cups and played about 10 games in mthe space of a month so none of that crap please

It surely helps to know the result of your rivals before you play your game, and that's why the club is asking for the Blackburn match to be moved to the same day and time as the manU/arsenal match.

Erm .. as we have won every week, there would be more pressure on Arsenal to win, not less.

Surely?

Completely agree Kid, they've been tremendous.
Haven't given up hope yet though.
Are they really going to go the whole season unbeaten away from home?
A hell of an achievement if they do, and you'd have to say they deserve it for that alone.

Last night was the best hope for them dropping points, bar the Manure game. I think they have won it. >:(

I always thought there was something left to happen in this title race.. and when Kanoutes shot crossed the line I thought that was it... setting up a showdown at Old Trafford, but no... Cole hid the ball from the linesman. There must be a page on that in a defending manual somewhere.

Now... I'm not sure there's another twist left now...

But I've been drinking Davros tea...

COME ON BOLTON
COME ON... nope can't bring myself to say it.
COME ON... E... oh shit, now I just feel sick.

I don't really care about the media -- as long as we match Scumchester's record for the next 3 games we will come 2nd and to me this is already a big improvement to us.   If we don't win it this year it is just the combination of

- Arsenal really deserved it (consistent throughout, performed well against top teams)
- us not having enough experience and choke under pressure (like the Southampton games, etc)

I think the lads will learn -- the average age of our first team is just (what) around 25 which is the lowest among the top teams in the country.
We won it 6 times

I dont see any advantage in Arsenal playing after us. As Steve says, both us an the mancs have been putting the points on the board so to me that would put more pressure on Arsenal to match us.

Arsenal are top as they have been the most consistent team over the 35 games played.

Believe it or not I think actually Everton's reserve team has a better chance to create an upset than their 1st team...

Same here KFC... in the same way that half of Leicester's youth team gave them a scare.  I mean, Thierry Henry vs Dobbin and Tonto at the back?  They wouldn't even see Freddie run through them.

Mind you, he's done that to us a couple of times too.  :'(

I'm already satisfied with the progress we've done over last season, and the high hopes we have for the next.

But right now, I still care about the results because I still think it's possible to win the championship. 2 draws is what we need from Arsenal: vs. Bolton and the mancs; they don't even have to lose.

Provided of course we win ours. I expect Spurs-Away to be our crunch game of the remaining 3.
