« on: April 10, 2002, 10:33:31 am »
He took a kick on the foot and will have a scan to see if it is fractured.

After a scan he has been declared fit for the weekend trip to sunderland.

Once again he got scant protection from the referee... and Nowotny was lucky to stay on IMHO, he was outclassed.
Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple - Bill Shankly.

The ref was awful IMHO he booked JAR for diving and everytime one of there players tripped over his bootlaces he gave em a free kick and on a couple of occassions when we were blatently fouled gave the free kick the other way.

Even the TV commentator pointed out his biase for the home team.

I'm gutted about the result but i have to say the ref was very poor. The amount of times thier players went down with very little contact was a joke. But thats what you have to get used in europe.
