After Hansen retired in 1990, it was 9 years in my view until anybody played near that level for us in central defence. That being Sami Hyypia.

That's not really surprising when we had the likes of Rudduck, Dicks ecc in the central defence,

Henchoz & Hyypia partnership was that good, it meant Carragher was right back then left back for a few years.

Hansen was a great player, Ferguson's biggest mistake leaving Hansen out of the Scotland 86 World Cup squad, Scotland might well have got out of the group.

Such a good player! Remember watching him and just feeling like most do now with Van Dijk...We kind of had it with Hyypia as well, not quite to the same degree of course. We've been spoilt with so many good players

Kenny and Souness are on it as well as many others. It was first aired in 2014 when he retired.

This came on last night at the end of MOTD after the Charlton tribute, and I was a little tired and emotional, nodding off on the sofa. I nearly shit myself, thinking it was on for the worst reason. Great watch though, how can you not love Jocky.
