After some 24 years of retirement, cartoonist Gary Larson has promised some new work that will appear on his website.

Some will probably fondly remember his cartoons featuring an alternative take on human animal interactions, neanderthal men and their musings and inventions, short fat American families, crazy scientists doing things badly wrong, and fierce women with sharp horn rimmed glasses, all appearing regularly in the old Sunday Observer back in the 80's and early 90's and brightening things up.

All we need is for Glen Baxter to also be rehabilitated back into the mainstream consciousness with his brilliant absurdist view on things and all will be well.

So glad that all those years ago he was able to put a proper medical name to my fear of being pursued by timber wolves around a kitchen table whilst wearing socks on a newly waxed floor.
