fair play to leicester they're doing a good job of frustrating us and mcguire is excellent.

my main gripe is the ref.  we should have had two penalties and not sure how schmeichel getting away with so much time wasting.

perhaps lessons we need to learn as could have helped us to three points away at arsenal?

can looks crap again; mo doesn't have his shooting boots on and we're just not quite getting there in the last third..

i think the goal will come would like to see lallana on second half and milner working on the ref a bit more.

He's at 46% conversion rate in the league alone, he misses chances but who doesn't. For comparison, Kane is at 45%

There are other times when he could get a shot away in a good position but seems to almost panic and it doesn't materialise (again, feels weird saying this about our much-celebrated top scorer but he does lack composure sometimes). I can only say what my eyes tell me which is obviously at odds with that stat. I think he can improve which is a fantastic thing given his current return

That was 90% matips fault. Ridiculous to blame the rest for his gift.

Of course it's Matips fault for giving the ball away initially, but he isn't liable for 3 other players not really being good enough at what they contributed either.

I'll go 50% Matip, 30% Can, 10% for the other 2. That's the best I'm offering  ;D

Many complaining about Milner - thought he played well?
He's just lacking a bit of pace. Clearly got the brain for it.

I dislike Kasper Schmiechel clapping at the linesman like a condescending idiot very much.

Oh he's been absolutely sound, great link up play and getting stuck in. It's Can that's the problem, looks entirely uninterested.

Klopp probably think he would be better for the Burnley game.

Klopp knows best. I guess Klavan may have been exposed by Vardy's pace. But then again Klavan has been decent recently.

Man hasn't been bad at all, he's actually linking play well and not just running down blind alleys but people are acting like he's playing terribly
Agreed, he did some decent things in that half. Nice play to set up the early chance for Salah.

Unfortunately, his terrible shot towards the end of the half is what lingers in the memory...

Won't be happy when Can goes, but tha fact that he has been here for three seasons and under two different managers, yet we still don't really know what his role should be in the team tells a lot. Wherever you put him in midfield there's at least one major weakness to his game that prevents him from making that position his. He will be great in the Seria A though, I'm quite sure of that

Many complaining about Milner - thought he played well?

No. No he didn’t.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Milner has been playing well today, finding good pockets of space and picking out good passes as well as running into space in and around their box. Linking with Robertson and Mane very well

Can started terribly but has grown into the game very well and has shut down a number of their attacks, cutting out the threat from Gray significantly

Claude Puel can fuck off and all. Something weird happens to us we he's in the opposition dug out.

Still 45 minutes to go and only ourselves to blame if we continue to fuck this up. Hopeful we'll find a way through though.

One of our better players. Think Leicester are playing well too. Looks like a long afternoon.

When I rule football first change is when a keeper starts time wasting early he immediately gets a warning, does it again booked, again off. No let him do it with impunity and then book in the 87th minute. Issue wiped out immediately...

That's technically how it's supposed to go ;D

When was the last time we conceded a goal that wasnt absolutely grim?

Probably Ozils.

The only one i can think of where i've said 'yep, they earned that'.

Its seems 90% of the goals we concede come from either a set piece, a goalkeeper mistake or us giving away the ball in our own third.

Thats the difference between us and the teams above us. They make the opposition work for their goals where as we gift them.

Too ponderous on the ball.
No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

Are they, though? Legitmately could have scored 4 goals in that half. We are getting in behind their fullbacks, just look like we can't finish - Salah has wasted two good chances.

This is the type of game where we need better than Solanke/Sturridge/Ings in reserve. Obviously just Solanke on the bench today.

Poor performance currently. Getting bullied off the ball, not finding the final ball and we look susceptible to the counter. We just need something to go our way and we can turn this around.

Need more creativity in midfield, urgently.

CAn anyone tell me the difference between the penalty given against Lovren a few weeks ago and the push on Robertson today that was not given?
