Just wondering where we are up to from what I can gather there is one house in Lothair that is needed for the Main Stand that is close to completion, one house in Alroy that is negotiating with the council that is needed for the walkway. Plus two houses at the end of Rockfield where the owners have got the hump and apparently want their day in court, with these two houses needed for the walkway.

I don't know if this is correct and someone more knowledgeable may be able to help but the two houses in Rockfield are situated at 90 degrees to the new extended stand so may not be affected by right to light issues.

you obviously didn't follow the H&G saga very closely

Holy Jesus! Now it's the stadium that pulled H&G down... not the hundreds of millions of debt they actually did incur.

And as a reality check, the stadium remains important but as every day goes by the importance of TV rights and commercialism grows faster than any stadium expansion. We are talking about £15m a year net extra here or just over half the shirt deal.

Not doing it is not going to bring anyone down.

I think he has a business partner who jointly owns them. Those are the two I was wondering whether there would be right to light issues because they have no windows on the side and the back windows would of been covered by the houses adjacent to them on Lothair so a new stand wouldn't change the amount of light coming in through their windows. Maybe the way forward would be for the City council and the Club to come to an agreement with the owners for the purchase price and then go to binding arbitration regarding any loss of rents.
