On the point of Martin Samuel's contrasting articles about Terry and Suarez. I thought I would highlight a few sentences he uses to undermine himself:

(On Terry) A social lynching, a friend of mine called the events of the last few days.

(On Suarez) Maybe they’ll make a T-shirt telling us all about it; or a hat. Not a white, pointy one, obviously.

Samuel scoffs at the treatment of Terry, lambasting those who are pre-judging him, even referring to it as a 'lynching'. Yet in the case of Liverpool football club, he is quite happy to make comparisons between an institution that has never previously had any links to racism (and in fact still doesn't) and the Ku Klux Klan. Liverpool Football Club has long since accepted and supported players and staff from a range of ethnic backgrounds. In 2006 the club was awarded a Preliminary Level of the Racial Equality Standard for Professional Football Clubs and statistics show that our fans are amongst the least likely to be arrested for racist chanting. Yet, he is happy to paint a football club that employs hundreds of workers and boasts hundreds of thousands of supporters as inherently racist, in the same way that the Ku Klux Klan is.

If there is still any doubt that certain journalists are biased against our club as well as being lazy, obtuse, mouth-pieces, look no further than this man.

Even if you remove us from the equation, the fact that he casually speaks of lynching in this arena with respect to a white bloke accused of racism is spectacularly insensitive. This bloke, conscious or not, is clearly racist himself. It is one of the most annoying things about these journalists, is that there is an utter lack of self-awareness or self-examination in their work. It is as if they were unassailable moral arbiters speaking from a position of absolute authority and omniscience.

or Anton Ferdinand (the victim of a racist tirade by the England captain) being described as a c*nt by large sections of the Chelsea ground.

What for ? Being the butt of JT's abuse ?

It won't get a mention.

Coconut is a racist and devisive term.
It has implications of "us and them" and it suggests that, for one who is not white, "acting white" (racist on its own?) is not appropriate.

Slightly sinister in any context and I find it offensive.

Hopefully this twat has been given just enough rope...

Yeah it is divisive. It suggests that people must comply with racial stereotypes, that they must act or think in a way that conforms to their ethnicity or cultural heritage.  To do otherwise is worthy of criticism and insult. It also connotes the idea of behaving or acting  'white' (whatever that means) and uses that in a pejorative way. At least its democratic in that its actually insulting to everyone.

Let 'them' think we are cheering a 'racist', we all know we are cheering on a player of immense quality, who has been stiched up by the football authorities (inc MUFC) and shafted by the London / Manchester press. He who will be vindicated by time.

Been all over the world but Anfield is still my home.

If Luis scores the winner, and unveils a t-shirt saying:

PIARA POWAR IS A c*nt.
PADDY BARCLAY = CAPTAIN PICARD WITH A KNOB ON HIS HEAD.
JASON ROBERTS = SHIT EMILE HESKEY.
CLARKE CARLISLE = Porque, who?
GORDON TAYLOR - SUCK MY BIG URUGYUAN CAJONES.

Would that be racist?

Calling someone a coconut (whether technically racist or not) is pretty damn offensive, esp in this day and age. Piara Powar has shown himself up to be a knob of the highest order and is only interested in his own self-promotion. Any good work he may have done in the past is being tossed aside at the moment.

How the fuck can you call someone you don't know a coconut because he asked you a question? Let him try call me a coconut the twat.

Had enough of it now.

Wayne Rooney, Piara Powar, Gordon Taylor, Phil McCunty, the BBC live blogger, the Daily Racist Mail, the diseased Mirror, the S#n, the Grundian, the high arsed Tory wankpapers.

WILL ALL OF YOU PLEASE FUCK OFF.

Not asking too much is it?

It's OK, Ollie Holt wants closure on the Suarez issue but Kenny is 'making that difficult'. Just fucking fuck off. Seriously. I've tried with words, as have many others better placed to do so than me. You have no desire to listen, no attempt to argue with the points others point out to you so fuck off writing about my club. You know precious little about it and you never will.
Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani...

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

It's so predictable it's actually quite funny. :D  :lmao
Just to quote one line:

The controversy surrounding Suarez's return overshadowed the game itself, which was ignited only when the striker came on.
