Lots of mud patches on my what-was-once-a-gorgeous lawn after a brutal winter.

What to do? Is it worth lawn seeding now while the mud is still hard?
If he retires I'll eat my fucking cock.

Great anti climax for those expecting jizzihno....

How patchy is it? Yes you can seed now (you may have two different types of grass in the lawn though) but if you have enough tufts of grass on the edges of you lawn cut them off and transplant onto the patches.

Brown patches on conifers? Are they dead or can I give them a feed that might bring them back to life? They are big things so don't really want the hassle of digging them out and planting new ones that will take ages to fill the gaps.

Brown patches on conifers?

Conifers can turn brown leaving patches but the cause can a number of reasons. Pests or diseases are responsible for some cases, but others may be caused by growing conditions or routine operations such as trimming.

Have you cut them back much because they have little or no capacity to regrow from old wood, now is a good time to trim, not butcher them back.

Or get an insecticide and spray them.  :wave

Lots of ivy working it's way through them, might be sucking the life out of them.

Haven't cut them back much, need to reduce the height of them this year before the knob next door starts complaining.

I'm looking for the name of a plant, I haven't got a picture so i'll just have to describe it.

Its a trailing plant, oft seen on stone walling, with lots small to medium purple flowers. the colour is very vibrant.

I know that's not much to go one but any ideas folks?

How do you go about giving oral sex to a greenfly?

I saw that as soon as i'd posted it but figured the gardening thread would be safe and off limits to such jokes.
