Just heard on LFC Now that "Torres has declared himself fit for 90 minutes" ....now the question is does Rafa agree?  :wave

I wish we'd bought Gareth Barry.

So do I. If we could have bought him and kept Xabi, we'd probably be better off with Xabi and Barry than with Xabi and Keane

Wouldnt have thought he'd say something like that without being given some kind of hint at it.

Was sure this thread was going to be about Rooney's injury.

Still, im glad Xabi is fit, we missed him Saturday.

Alonso is too slow to play in the English league & has been shite ever since a game against Spurs a few years ago.

Chubby Alonso, he needs to put on a few pounds and we could give him the wittiest nickname in football. Kiki "Chris" Musampa was rather witty though, especially for Manchester City fans.
"I was pleased also with Peter Crouch. We have been talking to him, before and after his nose operation, to show more confidence with his heading.

"Now it seems to have worked. Lets say that if he has a few games without scoring again, maybe we should arrange to break his nose again."

Rafa.

Fuck Yesssss !!!
Welcome back Xabi and right on time when we needed him too.
Lets tear the bitters apart and throw the gauntlet at the Mancs.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Great news.......what odds Cahill "accidentally" goes over the top of the ball early doors and catches Xabi's dodgy foot?

It's such a certainty you wouldn't get odds!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/7846732.stm

anchester United will be without Anderson and Jonny Evans for three weeks because of ankle injuries.

Midfielder Anderson, 20, and defender Evans, 21, were both stretchered off during United's Carling Cup win over Derby on Tuesday.

"Anderson went for a scan and there is no break," said Mr. Ferguson. "But there was some ligament damage. We think he will be out for three weeks.

"Jonny Evans will also be out for three weeks," added the United boss.

Rafael and Nani were also injured against the Rams and Ferguson confirmed that they will be missing for United's FA Cup clash with Tottenham on Saturday.

Right-back Rafael was forced off just before half-time at Old Trafford and it is thought he could be missing for up to a month, while Nani suffered a groin injury and will be out of action for a week.

"The ones who are out (for the Spurs game) are Rio Ferdinand, Anderson, Nani, Rafael, Patrice Evra, Wayne Rooney, Wes Brown, Jonny Evans and Ji-sung Park," added Ferguson.

I wish this was a league game.

It's just another cup game for more players to get injured in.  Giggs' hamstring hasn't snapped in a while has it?  He was always straining it.  And Ronaldo is due a knee break.

By the time their league game returns I guess they could play Neville at centre back, Rafael could return for right back and O-Shea on the left.  So despite having many injuries they still have decent options.
