Just had a glance at the fixtures before the Derby.

Everton have

Sunderland (a)
Fulham (a)
West Ham (h)

I'd fancy them to get six points there.

We have

West Ham (h)
Newcastle (h)
Reading (h)
United (a)

Should be looking at 9 points at least. 10 would be excellent though.

Derby will be interesting.

Everton's fixtures are unboubtedly easier, to be quite frank. And I would not bet against them picking up 9 points. All three games about as piss easy as you could ask for.

As I've just said in another thread we need to stay level with them somehow until the last four games. If we are level or no more than a point or two behind we will be favourites. They play Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa and Newcastle in the last 4. Quite possible they could drop 6-9 points there, and to stick my neck out I could see them dropping 11 points if those other teams came and had a good day.

technically its in our hands and there hands because the derby is the vital game

Yup. It's in both teams hand because either one of them could get 4th by winning all their games. But they have to play each other, so they can't both win all of their games. After the derby, it will someone's to throw away. All assuming we don't both slip up and let someone else get ahead of us.

Maybe I'm being naive, but I'm not even worried about it. I have absolute faith that we've got far too many good players to not achieve AT LEAST fourth. I'm actually so confident in our ability to finish strongly that I'm more interested in talking about catching Chelsea than I am whether we can finish above Everton and Villa.

What I've been thinking, 3rd is definitely achievable if we get something away at OT and the Emirates.

If they drop points before the Derby, they`re fucked cos they will have to come and have a go,not spoil and hold out for a point. They might even have to go fucking crazy and play TWO up-front. ???

I didn't feel nervous until they beat City. Now I am getting a little nervous seeing their form. Surely, Sunderland can get something against them at home? Everton are due a dip in form....
It wouldn't be Liverpool if we didn't do it the hard way... ask Gareth Southgate.

I rather finish 6th than go in the Uefa Cup.
