Brain Tumour Research Petition.
« on: October 14, 2023, 02:21:17 pm »
https://braintumourresearch.org/pages/brain-tumour-research-petition

Hi Guys, Not sure where to list this so mods please place in correct place.
The story is that my son’s best mate Sam died very recently from a brain tumour at the age of 28. All his organs were donated to help others. Sam was a big guy in every sense and he, like my son, have been lifetime supporters of Liverpool. To try and focus on more positive thoughts we are trying to get this petition to reach 100,000 signatures (shades of our Hillsborough Petition). I’m not asking for any donations but we would be really grateful to get your signature. We only need 33,000 more but it has to be within the next couple of weeks or so. So please can you take just a little time to support this petition.
Thanks Everyone.

I lost my first wife to a brain tumour in 2005 when she was aged 36.

The doctors told us at the time that other cancers offered better results in terms of money spent to lives saved so brain tumour research was allocated a pittance.

But it’s a catch 22 - there’ll never be improvements until money is spent on research.

I’ve signed the petition.

Signed. My father suffered a long illness due to an undiagnosed brain tumour which was then terminal.

Research is vital to improve outcomes from this disease.

I've tried to sign this petition three times but keep getting a "form over quota, contact owner of the form" error message everytime I submit.

Not sure if it's just me but could be causing others to not be able to sign.

Lost my estranged father to one last year, whilst the consultant and nursing staff were amazing, I found that once he was told they weren't offering chemo or any treatment (because of his health condition and age), he was pretty much left to get on with it.

Sam was cremated today (Friday 20th October). We sang YNWA as part of his service and gave him a good send off at his wake.
Please find time to sign the petition if you can. To reach 100,000 may not be possible? but lets get as close as possible.

Thanks Everyone

We are over 75,000 now. Please sign if you agree that more research is needed into brain cancer.
