He was Archie Baird. He played for Aberdeen and St Johnstone. He probably would have played quite a bit more for Scotland but his career was basically cut in half due to the war, and then he sustained a serious knee injury during that one cap which basically stopped him playing again for Scotland.

Haha, I've mentioned before how half my extended family on my dads side worked for the BBC... kept quiet about the high profile ones.

Sadly my own career doesn't quite live up to those credentials...

EDIT: Just realised you might have just been talking about my Grandad and might not have read the whole Wiki page....

I only met Magnus a few times, but he was a lovely guy. Got to sit in the original black chair from the show, which he had in his office.

Got a perfume (one I really like but would never splurge for myself because perfumes are too expensive). A pair of plain, black Doc Martens boots (which I last had 20+ years ago but really wanted to have for around the block in rainy weather) and finally I got a customiseable micro-keyboard designed for Figma, which is a design app I work on most days.

Nothing.

For the first time ever my family decided to pool what we would normally spend on each other to give to a local charity that works with helping young people by helping them with accomodation and social support.

Seeing how I did a massive spring clean the other week I realised there's nothing I needed or wanted. Very different experience just opening a card on Christmas Day but considering many don't even get that I still feel blessed.
