The job Mascherano and Arbeloa did on Messi i think it was at the Nou Camp was very impressive, just squeezed him as he cut in from the right.

What was the game where an aging Pirlo completely dominated the game against us?
As far as I can remember we've only played against him twice, in the two CL finals.

Will probably get slaughtered for this but Lucas Leica produced arguably the finest performance of a defensive midfielder when he single handedly dominated a rampaging Man City at Anfield in Nov 2011.  Was man of the match by a country mile. There was a vid of YouTube of his performance.
Proudest ever moment was in the Ataturk stadium - i'm sure the wife will understand!

Yep, came in to echo the Lucas vs Man City one. He was just a step ahead in his positioning and timing of tackles and interceptions. The only player that's really reminded me of him since is when we play Kante. It's so annoying to play against that guy.
