Fair number of Union flags there as well. Don't see too many of those at Anfield these days.

A 4 hour journey home on the Saturday night and our driver said the only word's I spoke was "thanks' for the lift". Then that train journey left Monday got home Saturday morning. A week that saw an all time low to the best night of my life supporting the Mighty Reds even better than Istanbul.

I've been here during the bad times,we finished second once.

like a previous poster said Barry Davies BBC commentary will always stay with me (was 10 and watching it on the telly at home in Liverpool with the family) "thats nice thats McDermott and thats a goal".. "what a delighted scorer - its Tommy Smith!" .. "and with such simplicity the European Cup surely is won".

Great names.. Klinkhammer, Rainer Bonhof, Simonsen.. and we beat them.

Legged out the house with me casey and went for a kickaround in the park with a few mates, loads of cars on the main road blasting the horns. A joyful night.
Cool down and play

For many, still THE greatest night in our clubs history. It was the culmination of a journey that began on the 14th of December 1959.

Mint . Ahhh Ray Kennedy ,what a great player . I once got to spend a couple hours with him training at a bloody Pontins in Devon. Was proper made up :)
