Can has been pretty disappointing for me that half, especially first 15 minutes like the rest of the team, some loose passing and lack of concentration. Ultimately I think he is desperate to get forward and it's probably better to just unleash him. I'd swap him for Hendo too I think.

The second dive was a hard call, to be fair. Live at full speed I thought Sturridge caught him.

No excuse for missing the penalty. That was glaringly obvious, as was the dive to get Henderson booked.

Exactly. There's no chance Palace keep a clean sheet if we see another half like that one. We will score one or two, just a question of whether they get a goal as well.

66% possession, 17 shots to 3 (but crucially, only 4 on target), 285 accurate passes to 80, 320 total passes to 120. Palace are locked in for the 1-0 and hit on the break. If we can get 2 goals, they're not winning. Early goal in the first half and the attacks will swing in our favour, but we have to have a lot more actual penetration than we did in the first half

It never ceases to amaze me the level of negativity that's posted when we're not winning or drawing at half time.

We've been all over these.

Just need to keep our concentration when they counter and we'll definitely force more opportunities. Balotelli could be the one to make the difference and create more space for Sturridge.

Should be an entertaining second half.

Aren't you getting fed up of no-hope referees in our games? I know I am. It was such an obvious penalty. Gayle's dives were also obvious, particularly the Henderson one. This is a referee who's out there to impress the home support.
