One of the more famous moments in Aussie sporting history.

That's funny, it doesn't look like something along these lines:

;)

Although one of the ones in recent memory regarding Australia was a bit of 'biffo' not long after I started watching the game:

My Twitter

Last time I went there I saw masturbating chimpanzees. Whether you think that's worthy of £22 is up to you. All I'll say is I now have an annual pass.

The most famous moment in GAA. Kerry being defeated in the dying moments of the All-Ireland Final of 1982 by Offaly.

As they were about to lift an unprecedented 5 in a row All-Ireland titles. It's an image burned into the mind of every Kerry follower. I was born with the heartbreak of that loss. I can still appreciate it for being an incredible moment, an underdog story at its finest.

The well-poised 3rd test between England and Australia at Headingley in 1975 had to be abandoned on the final when protestors dug up the pitch during the night.

They were protesting on behalf of George Davis who had been convicted of armed robbery.  Davis was subsequently released under Royal prerogative, but in later years was jailed twice more - for armed robbery.

Barry Sheene at Daytona 1975. He was doing between 170 and 175 mph when the rear wheel locked solid and he was thrown from the bike. Most expected his career to be over, but he eent on to win the 500cc world championship the following year.
